Happy Birthday Grace!!

This is the card which can be a bookmark as well that i've stitched for her.

And the big surprise was the bike that she've found out in the barn very early this morning. She know's she'll get this one as we've let her choose which type she wanted but the dealer/shop said last week that it will arrive after three weeks so she was really happy this morning. It's a Raleigh with 3 speeds and a coincidence with her name on it. I haven't taken a picture yet but her's the site where i got the pic i've attach here.Raleigh Young Mrs Grace

We didn't celebrate her b-day today as she's in school from 7:30AM and back at home 4:30PM and had to do her rounds for the newspaper too. We will celebrate it this coming saturday.

And here's another card for INE! another b-day celebrant today from the Dutch yahoo group.

SFE from Kim & away for the weekend

Received the SFE from Kim !Thank you so much. I really like how you finished this pillow and the colour of fabrics you had used are my favorites. You are really a great stitcher and finisher!!

We will be away for the weekend, just me and DH. After the activieties(football & swimming) of the children in the morning we will bring them to MIL, they'll stay there for the weekend. Me and dh will go to a friends birthday at the mainland and stay the night as the next day we are going to another friend having an open day for her 'Tapas Bar'. Oh well, no stitching weekend for me.

Have a nice weekend to all!

Kitty finish

A quick finished and will complete it into a card, i think!. I am stitching some christmas alphabets too and will finished them off into cards. No pictures yet.
My table is really a mess at the moment what with stitching materials and card making crafts plus letters and magazines... I am just working with all different things when i get the chance during the day/night that i don't like to set things aside into a drawer. Ohh well, really needed some organizing here especially items that i won't make or stitch anymore. We are thinking of a big renovations here in the house in the near future so better start cleaning some stuff.
I will post some pictures here soon for items to give away, only the postage to pay though.

Just a quick post before leaving for work as i don't know what time i'll be back again tonight and might be too tired to get online and just head off for bed.

A nice surprise is waiting for me when i came home last night. This beautiful small banner is from Debra for the Small Finished Exchange. I love it! Your stitching is sooo neat, well done! Thanks so much Debra.

13th Anniversary!!

Thirteen years ago when we got married in the city hall here on Texel. We did it quietly with just Kees parents, brothers and sisters with their partners and a couple of close friends. A dinner afterwards here at home. It's because we had the big celebration and the church wedding in Asia at my parents place a few months after, December 1994(on my birthday). When we got back in January here on Texel we did another celebration though for family and friends.

We were able to sleep in this morning and it feels good. After that we went to Kees mother for a visit as we haven't been there for nearly a month now. When we got home this afternoon i started gathering the materials for the cards, cutting the patterns for the 3d's. And then we went out to dinner. Just before we leave for dinner, headache started but i just disregard it thought it will go away but when we were seated at the restaurant and the starters came, my feelings turning bad as well as taste so it wasn't much for me. The rest enjoyed their meal though. That was a couple of hours ago. I feel a bit better now and hope not really got sick as i have to work tomorrow.

Welcome..WIP

After finishing stitching the card for Grace, can't show a picture as i am not sure if she comes and have a peek on here, i picked the 'Welcome' and here's my progress so far. I've add my last update to see the difference. I think i will try and stitch at least once a week on this project. Much as i'd like to stitch everyday, i simply can't especially during my working days. Just too tired to concentrate on stitching.
Also, since christmas is coming nearer i would like to make some cards, not stitch ones(3D cards) as i have lots of stuff for it. Won't be buying new items with this as i am not continuing to do this when most are used. I'd rather concentrate on Stitching, Hardanger and maybe quilting.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend. For us today, Grace was picked up for her swimming club early this morning, while we took Chris for his football match. After a difficult start there team won , 4-1`.
After lunch we went in search for a new bike for Grace, it took us almost the whole afternoon and only been to a couple of shops. It wasn't easy as Grace have her own wishes and they don't have it on display so we have to order it and hope it's what she really wants, it's expected to be here after three weeks.

just a card

A card for the birthday list of the Dutch yahoo group. Posted it last monday to Belgium and had arrived in 2 days, which is very quick compared to previous experience which takes sometimes more than a week.

I am nearly done with Grace card, been stitching almost the whole morning yesterday as i was alone, dh went diving and children at school.

Looking forward to a quiet weekend, the first time in weeks that we don't have to attend to any event, except Chris football in the morning while Grace with her swimming club.

Thanks so much for all the nice comments on the hardanger, sorry still don't know how to finish it off...perhaps into a pillow.

Have a nice weekend to all!!

Hardanger

Weekend was busy but fun and these last two days at worked was very busy too contrary to what we had expected, weather's getting cooler so not many are coming to the island we thought, but still a lot especially older people.

Anyway, i just wanted to have a quick finish i picked this hardanger from all the unfinished items i have all in a box. I started this one last July and now finally done but don't know yet how to finish it off. It's from the magazine Just CrossStitch Christmas Ornaments.

Thanks so much for dropping by and taking the time to leave comment. I really appreciate them

Cards and football

These were sent out lately and now both received so i can show them up.
I was looking today for an appropriate card for Grace but no success yet.

A couple of 3D cards that i've made last month. Haven't done much of these kind this year. Just don't have much time anymore. Hey, looking back at the pictures, what a coincidence that they are both made on the same colour!

Football season started again! After a couple of weeks training, (once a week) they had a try-out competition this afternoon. Competitions are actually on saturdays, but the organisator arent sure if one of the teams are really qualified to stay with the same level of Chris group. Chris group won 12-0. It has shown that the other team weren't that strong or needed more practice.
