small stitching update

Since we came back, that's more than two weeks now, i haven't been much in the mood for stitching and blogging, haven't catch up on everyone's blogs too. I miss back home, the place, my family and friends. It's the first time i really feel this way. Before, i am happy and content we had visited home and back to normal routines but now i am having difficulty getting back to my normal routines, probably because hubby is away too and still four weeks more to go before he'll be home again.

I kitted and took this one for the trip but haven't really worked on it so i've tried and stitched on it these last days. It's a pretty small design and can actually finish in a couple of days but it took me longer than that.
This is from the Cross Stitcher magazine, May 2008 and designed by Maria Diaz.

Atleast Max is here for company for more than a week now. I think he will be pick up this coming sunday evening.

Many many thanks to all who stopped by and especially to those who takes the time to leave me a comment. I really appreciate them all.

I wish you all a Happy Weekend!

The first week...at the beach!

We had left the island thursday morning, 09 of July and arrived saturday morning(10 July) at our province, Ifugao. Quite a long travel, especially the drive from Manila to Ifugao took us about 12 hours because of traffic along the way and partly passing through the mountains. Was the same amount of time from Amsterdam to Singapore which was also 12 hours. Then singapore to Manila, 3 and a half hours.

After a couple of days at home in Ifugao we packed again and off to La Union for the beach. Three of my brothers with their family came with us, and mother with the daughter of my youngest brother. With two cars, we had travelled at night and took us six hours. We had booked in at Sea Park beach resort for 4 days. Two brothers with their family only stayed for one day as the children has to go to school and one of my sister-in-law, a nurse, has to work too. During our first day, my sister and her family came down from Baguio city, about 1 and a half hour drive, and joined us for a day. They can't stay longer too because of school and work. Oh well, here are a few pictures taken:

((you can click on all pictures to enlarge if you want))

Taken at around 7 o'clock in the morning, water temperature is really good for swimming!

My nephews and nieces are a bit afraid to go farther, just looking at Grace, Chris and hubby but later in the day, they weren't afraid anymore.
Here's me with my three sister-in-laws and the kids.

Now, i regret i haven't taken pictures with the whole family together, just snapshots here and there...

...except these one. The only brother who stayed behind with his wife and little girl. Was taken the next day when most of the company left for home.

i love these picture of my two nieces!!

After two days of lovely weather, typhoon "Isang" reached us so the third and fourth days spent inside as the winds too strong to go out.
This taken the third day infront of the restaurant of the park. A pity the picture is dark.

These our first week of our vacation, the last two weeks were spent with the family.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and hope you are all having a good week.

we're back a few days ago!

Four weeks went by too quickly, but atleast we had enjoyed our visit home, despite of the weather. It was really hot! Around 40 degrees celcius and most days thunderstorm late afternoon or early evening till midnight. With heavy downpours in the evening, expecting a cooler temperature the next day but it's not!!
Been busy here first few days when we arrived, family and friends stopped by and we've been at friends place for BBQ too.
Just an hour ago we came back from the beach, stayed only for an hour as the sun disappears and now looks like it will rain soon.
I'll post some pictures later but no stitching update as i haven't done any stitching at home in Asia. It was just too warm!

Hope everyone's having a good week.

We are off to Asia tomorrow for 4 weeks to visits family and friends. We'll be back the 5th of August. It's been pretty busy here the last days as it was really nice weather, either we are at the swimming pool or at the beach. Yesterday, the weather has cooled off and today quite some rain, so i am glad i don't need to water the plants. Whew! i really feel sooo tired as it's been a bit crazy today. In between packing, cleaning, friends and family stopped by. Better go to bed early as we have to get up at around 4:30AM.

For the July giveaway, haven't had time to make one but i don't like to skip it out so this will be an open one, a finish item of your choice...like pinkeep, flatfold, mattress pincushion, biscornu, a floss ring tag or a needleroll..., do need an idea of the theme preffer though. Finished the three samplers into a needleroll a few days ago but was quite
busy with the kids acitvities, also DH came home yesterday for the whole afternoon as he needed to do some paperworks regarding his position at work. Atleast we had some time together before he got back to the ship. Just a week more then he'll be home!

It's the last week of Grace school last week and they had a kind of 'project week'. Parents were welcome to go and see what they had done last friday. Here's a picture of Grace(right) with her friends with what they had made out that was assigned to them.

Chris still have this week for school. He really wish it's also over like his sister.
For this week they join the swimming acitivity at the open pool here in town which starts at 6:00pm till 8:30pm where they will do 20 or 40 laps everyday. It's called 'zwem avondvierdaagse', don't know the term in English. Anyway, i am the chauffeur and have to wait, atleast i have enough books now for company. But there are friends there too with there kids so probably won't have time for reading just like this evening.
Here's Grace and her friends, both girls are in the car with us too. That's one of my friend holding up her hand, doesn't want to be on the picture.
Haven't got a good picture of Chris but he's the dark head farther left. and here he is playing with one of his classmates, he said he likes the girl or rather both likes each other. kids...kids...!

Thanks so much for stopping by and all the kind comments. Hope you are all having a good week.

Our tickets to the Philippines now booked!!!

Finally, DH had booked the tickets last night so in about two weeks we are flying off to visit family and friends. We had waited for booking expecting that the prizes will go down a bit but there's not much really difference at all. Still around 4200euro's(5878U.S dollars), we have to go this summer and can't postponed because of the kids school and dh's work.
Oh my, now that it's booked and just over two weeks i really need to do lots, like packing or things really needed especially for the kids and arrange some things around here too, for watering the garden and Grace weekly newspaper round.
DH will come home the 6th of July and we are flying the 9th. We are flying with Singapore Airlines this time, previously were ussually with Cathay Pacific.

pc is fix!

Thanks to one of the guy who took over part of dh's computer business. After trying to find what was the problem through the phone with hubby, with lots of diffrent wires at the back of the main pc we really couldn't follow through which is which connected to what so hubby called one of the guys to come and look at it. I think he's been here for about 15 minutes and everything's working again or atleast ours with the kids are all working. Dh have to look more into it when he's home in about two weeks now!

Been busy here lately with birthdays to go to and other celebrations. So haven't done much stitching, only small update on the sampler and a LK design for a gift so can't show that yet.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope you're all having a good week.
