Finishes to share and Thank you...

....all for the wonderful comments and get-well wishes. I really appreciate them all. The doctor prescribed a kind of pain reliever and i'm adviced to place a heated compress at the back of my neck. After a couple of days the pain is easing up a bit.
But not that quick as i had expected!
I am not happy with this as it is another busy weekend ahead. It is our turn the group of Chris to manage the canteen for the whole morning tomorrow during the football games. Glad it was not a heavy work as it's mostly serving coffee or other drinks.
In the afternoon, have to go to a birthday party and other errands that i wasn't able to do the last days. Like returning books to the library, i'm afraid they are late and have to look for birthday gifts. Sunday is to another birthday celebrant too.

Anyway, if the pain still contineous after a few days i can make an appointment for phyisical therapy.

Despite of the pain, i manage to finished a few ornaments. Glad i am able to catch up with the x'mas ornament SAL.

Some pictures!

Thought we arrived quite early at Efteling park before 10am and wouldn't be so busy but we were mistaken. It is Autumn break so it seems everyone are going in there!!!!

((you can click on all pictures to enlarge if you want))

This was my 4th time to visit the park and the first time to experience to be in line for so long, which the longest was more than an hour for an attraction which took only about 3 minutes! Most were about 30 to 45 minutes. Oh well, we had fun together with our friends.

I think this was the only one where they've waited for 10 minutes. This one is not for me. I would definitely get sick!!

Forgot to add this picture last night, this was another roller coaster but then inside this huge bird! Didn't went in there either, took this picture when they get out looks like they had fun!!
Haven't taken much pictures with the different attractions, it was either too dark or too quick to take the camera out!

We've eaten out everyday. Now, i am trying to loose the pounds i've gained!!

Sunday, we've been to another park nearby. The Safari Park Beekse Bergen. We were really lucky both days were quite good weather, though cold but it's dry.

You might not believe it but i spent the whole evening for thess pictures collage. I am not really familiar with it but i do try to learn....

My shoulder hurts for more than a week now. It started after our visit to Efteling park the other weekend, when i woke up the next day and it hurts. Thought, maybe from the cold and it will disappear after a while but it seems it is getting worse so i decided to call the doctor this morning and made an appointment. Have to go and see him tomorrow afternoon.

Thank you all so much for visiting and all the lovely comments over my last post. I really appreciate them all. Hope to show some stitchy pictures next post as i was able to finished stitching a couple of small x'mas designs but have to finish them into an ornaments first.

Oct. giveaway, halloween ornament!

Halloween ornament
freebie by...??
32ct linen and DMC threads

I am sorry i can't find who is the designer of this one as i printed it

a while back. Hope somebody know and i really appreciate to hear who the designer is.
Everyone is welcome

for the draw, but please indicate if you want to be added for the draw and if possible to leave your e-mail address so i know where to contact you. It will be open until thursday, 15th October as i would like to send it out the following day because we are going away for a long weekend with the children this time.

Hubby had missed Max a couple of times when he was here while dh at sea so we've asked the owner if we can borrow him for a few days and picked him up last sunday but had to bring it back wednesday evening as we get another dog to take care of.

This is Buks from one of our friends. He was dropped today as our friends are going to Turkey for vacation. They are flying mid-morning tomorrow so they left the island early this evening and going to stay at a hotel nearby the airport for the night.

I know we should control eating much as we've gain a few pounds the last days but we have quite some apples brought by my brother-in-law last month, from their apple tree, though we've used lots last weekend for Grace birthday still lots are over. Since everyone loves "appelflap"(apple fritter), i've made some yesterday.
Just made this apple tart early this evening as i promised a firend to take one for her birthday which she'll celebrate tomorrow together with their daughter. Also prepared a beef curry but haven't taken a picture of it as it's still not done. Our friend(living at the mainland) is nearly six months pregnant and quite weak so the doctor's advice not to work much.
Again, another busy weekend ahead of us! Hope you all have a great weekend.

Terschelling is a municipality and an island in the northern Netherlands, one of the West Frisian Islands.

Wadden islanders are known for their resourcefulness in using anything and everything that washes ashore. With few trees to use for timber, most of the farms and barns are built with masts recovered from shipwrecks. The islands are surrounded by famous shipwrecks, and even today many containers wash ashore that are blown off the decks of cargo ships in the North Sea. Perhaps the most famous shipwreck off the coast of Terschelling is the Lutine, whose bell hangs in Lloyd's of London. Another famous ship was the Oka 18, which sank near the town of Formerum. Until recently her funnel could be seen rising out from the sea. In West Terschelling a pub was named after this ship.

The main source of income on Terschelling is tourism. There is some agriculture, but a large part of the island has become a nature reserve.

Terschelling is well-known for the yearly Oerol Festival during which theatre-performances are played throughout the island, making use of its landscape and nature.

Terschelling can be reached by ferry from the mainland Frisian town Harlingen and from Vlieland by high-speed catamaran.

The back of the hotel and the next building where you can see only part was where hubby been for his DP (Dynamic positioning simulator) course.

This was our view, the harbour, every morning during breakfast.

We've been out to dinner every night and this being one of them.

Covered wagon (Huifkartocht), i've signed in to one of the arranged ride for this one but unfortunately there was not enough people to make the trip around the island. The season is over, unless somebody booked it as a group.

These are some pictures i've taken during my walks everyday, only one village but atleast the biggest or the centre of the island.

We stayed on the hotel for our last diner as it began to rain when hubby got back from his course. We had to walk about 15 minutes to go to the center and 15minutes back in the dark. The food was really delicious but quite expensive.
Well, we've enjoyed our stay and especially being together!!

Thanks so much for visiting my blog especially to those who take the time to leave me a comment. I do appreciate them so much.

Where shall i start....

It's been crazy busy here the last couple of days i don't know where to start.
Oh well, i shall better begin who win the September giveaway, as i've just asked Chris to pick the name and the winner is.....
DANI!!. Congrats!!
Thanks so much everyone for stopping by, for entering the draw and all the lovely comments.

Out from the island Texel and off to the next island: Terschelling! These are taken from Harlingen going on board the Friesland ferry.

We stayed in a Hotel outside the village, the Golden Tulip Resort. Here's the front view of the hotel overlooking the road going to the other villages and the tress. I've took this picture when i had to stay in, was mid-morning and as you can see sooo dark outside. It has been like these for a couple of days so i haven't been out much, just relax, read and a bit of stitching.
More of Terschelling next post..

((you can click on all pictures to enlarge if you want))

We came home thursday afternoon and went to pick the kids at once, they did enjoyed staying where they were that they'd wish we aren't home yet...and me worrying and had to hurry home...!
Friday, spent on preparing for Grace birthday celebration yesterday(saturday). Manage to take a picture of a few that was done early saturday morning, when hubby took Chris for football and had to make more dishes. A pity i haven't had the time to take pictures before visitors came.
It's sunday afternoon and i feel too tired as the last guest left at 12 midnight, thought it's a kid's birthday it will not end too late...
Now, we are off to a friend's birthday but first we have to take Max for a walk, yeah..hubby just pick him up a few minutes ago.

Hope everyone's having a good weekend!
