Finishing mood continues...

Have lots of small pieces that were stitched a while back but just don't have the inspirations for finishing..looking through the folders and drawers that i've kept the pieces, i've picked out Spring time as it is the season now, and the christmas piece with it's soft colours. Only, i couldn't find which magazine--Just Cross Stitch Christmas ornaments-- this design were featured so i couldn't add who the designer is. It is nearly two weeks now since the accident with my ankle, happy to say it is healing nicely though slowly. I started walking again since yesterday albeit on my own speed, relatively slow. Instead of walking the distance which i normally take for 45 minutes, it took me an hour and half yesterday and today did improved a bit. Picture below was taken today along the way...been windy, drops of rain a couple of times but glad the sun continues to shine during my walk. Thanks so much for all the well wishes. Hope you all are having a good start of the week.

...more red finishes into scissor pinkeep/pocket!

Found these unfinished piece with all the needed materials in one of the folder that was put aside a long way back which i remember i've so much love the one i've sent off for an exchange nearly a couple of years ago and so wanted one for my collection. Just took the picture with the light on and looks like not the real color red that was on the fabric. Can't wait for tomorrow's daylight as i have to work and busy days ahead of us, won't have the time to post on here. It was cold but beautifully bright and sunny the last couple of days. Perfect for a walk, yesterday with a friend along the dyke.... ...and today with another friend at another location closeby our house. Went shopping with friends last week at the mainland and stop by for a cup of coffee with a huge rice tart for each...Funny, everyone say's not to eat it all, thinking of all the calories but been busy chatting before we know it all was eaten up! Many many thanks for your continued visits and for taking the time to leave me a comment. I truly appreciate them all.

Autumn exchange @ HOE!

Here's what i sent to my partner Brendon all the way to Australia. It's a freebie design just can't remember from who... Love the piece i received from Becky, Thank you so much, Becky!! Days go by so fast...First day of December, birthday of our son...his father and sister aren't home and one of his wish to go out to dinner at the only 'Wok restaurant' here on the island so i asked him to take a few of his friends so we went this evening. Such fun with these young guys! I was glad i can join them, thought they'd prefer to go without parent. Last saturday been off with friends to the city with the train. It should be around 3 hours travel to there but due to some storing with train connections, we had miss a couple so it took us an hour extra. It was quite an experience, was first for me to go that far with the train. Ussually we took the car if we go out of the island. Still preparing and trying some new recipes, not for the builders anymore but just for us here or friends who stop by for coffee or lunch. I do need to gather a list of recipes that i'd like to prepare again when needed. Most were found through the net so sometimes i cannot remember anymore the link where i've found the recipe. Thanks to all who stop by and took the time to leave me a comment. Really appreciate it. Happy week to all!!

Lizzie Kate May & my blooming orchids!

To my surprise this May design was already stitched last year, found it on one of the maps unfinished items. I only had to make it into a pinkeep the other day and luckily have a lovely fabric for the back. Love how it turned out. Had started stitching the June design but not much for a picture... Here is my update with the freebie i started end of April...hopefully be finish soon. Just not sure how to finish it off...thinking into a flatfold or maybe frame it... Was cleaning up a couple of days ago and suddenly noticed my blooming orchids. Really lots of buds coming out. Oh...i so love them! Happy happy Mother's Day to all MOMS like me!!

Lizzie Kate, April..

Another small finish to share! I started these monthly series of Lizzie Kate the beginning of last year but as you can see, i ended up till March. So i am trying to continue and hope will able to complete it by the end of this year.
These are a few of my Spring collections...i know i have more but just don't know where i hide a few boxes of stitching from previous years.

What a lovely compliment... Annie!  about my personal pictures associated with foods. I love cooking and trying new things as well as gathering with friends are always foods included. Either i or we do make it at home we do love to go out as well and we've heard a new Restaurant open in town earlier this month so off we went last friday evening...

Been to a birthday at the mainland yesterday and whew...more foods and yummy's..
...to compensate all the food intake i do a kind of sports almost daily...from walking, jogging and Zumba. Honestly, i am having difficulty maintaining my weight compared to when i am in my 30's! Thus, really need to take small portions daily except during especial occasions.

Thank you all so much who visited and took the time to leave me a comment. I really appreciate it.

Spring pinkeep!

Seems like i am posting once a month...days just flew by so quickly! This pinkeep is the only piece i completed for the month of March..shame..shame. It is for an exchange at HOE...do hope the reciever will like it. On impulse i took these pics during my walk earlier this evening. Such a privilege living nearby the sea! Always lovely to go out for a walk when the weather permits which we are really having right now...a very early SPRING. Compared from last year March has been on and off SNOW. This one was taken the first day of Spring, was such a sunny day though a bit windy and after that been cloudy for days but in all we've had quite a good weather for the month of March. Been out or meeting up with friends almost twice a week. Work started now for (seasonal work) us so i'm afraid wouldn't see each other as much as we want. Wish everyone a happy month of April!!

Another Christmas ornament exchange...

Probably the last for a while as i want to... if i can and have enough time to stitch a few ornaments to send out to friends for the holidays. Sorry for the first picture below, it's blurred but that was the only picture i took before sending the piece.

Here's what i received back from Melissa. Lovely and so neatly finished!
Visited friends at the mainland last weekend and they have a few of these cuddly Rabbits. I was at first hesitant to hold as i thought they're like cats and get scratch but she's quite good to stranger. Isn't she cute!!!

I've been cutting recipes from magazines but not really trying them unless when i am having a party. Or since it is foreign the kids might not like it but i'll never know if i will not prepare and let them taste it. Been off the last days so here's the first...Tacos last Monday, just a simple one though quite some veggies in it. They've love it especially Chris!!

This one yesterday, Korean spicy chicken wings with garlic soy sauce. Grace boyfriend was here too for dinner and he loves it too...Chris finds it a bit hot...but i like it.
Might try a couple again next week when hubby is home. He is expected to come home on Monday being away for more than two months.

Thanks a lot for stopping by...hope you are all having a good week.

Abc ornament exchange...

For the ABC exchange, i've made it into a pinkeep/scissor pocket. It's a freebie design which was printed a long time ago, can't remember anymore who the designer of it. Exactly a week ago today, i dropped my Iphone and came face down on the hard tile floor. From the sound ot it at that moment, was really bad...i thought if i will picked it up all tiny glasses will spread around...I was so glad it didn't and still work though difficult to type words as couldn't see the letters clearly. Last Saturday, we were at the mainland and there's a shop that do repairs for this kind of damages on phone, a bit expensive(70.00 euro's)...now, it looks new....
Friends were planning to go to the mainland for shopping, 7 in all...and fits exactly on our car, will be cheaper than to take the train but i was hesitant as it is my first time to drive to the place they want to go...more than an hour drive... i have the "Tom tom" so why not...so off we go...as you can see on the picture, Chris the only boy and he did enjoyed the attention!
Quality time with friends!!

Many many thanks for your continued visits and for taking the time to leave me a comment. I truly appreciate them all.

Autumn Exchange...

....at one of the Yahoo groups. Honestly, haven't visited yahoo groups for quite a while, too busy at work and home...what a surprise to see the changes made when i log in recently. A few, i cannot follow anymore and only one stays the same old format. Anyway, here's what i send for the exchange and received back in return from Frances. Sorry, the pictures aren't clear, just had taken with my Iphone  in the evening.

A week ago my daughter who is now studying in the University in Utrecht since last September sent me this picture through WhatsAp. Finally a clear picture with her and her boyfriend, Dennis.
He's been in some pictures with us as group usually when we are out dinning and wasn't that clear so i am happy to receive this one from her. She doesn't like much to be in the picture compare to when they were little kids...

Thanks so much for stopping by and the lovely comments.
A happy weekend to all.

It's official i am...

...the shortest in the family! Just realised it when i saw this picture taken last weekend with me and our youngest son, Chris! He is 13 thus he can get taller...

Looks like our saturday's are booked for party's, had to take special off days and worked during sundays for the time being. This picture below was last saturday at one of our friends at the mainland.
