Today, i am 40!

I can't believe it...but i turned 40 today! It sounds so old and probably in looks i am quite old but i do feel i am still on my 30's. ha...ha...I've mentioned to one of our friends over here that i dreaded it and so i am not going to celebrate this year. Not really, it has been very busy here lately so we would like to get out for a few days. Oh well, it didn't put her off and brought me her gift and a card last week. The card really makes me laugh...i'll try to translate:

therefore be cheerful and on to 41!
These pictures was taken last week. I went to get my hair trimmed last week and afterwards i let it braided, i didn't remove for the night so the next day it looks like this. I love it but pity i can't braid it myself from top to bottom to get this effect whenever i want.

Since i am not going to celebrate it here at home i thought to celebrate it here on my blog with a giveaway and also as a special thank you for all your friendship. I am so very grateful for each visit you make, each comment you leave, and each email that you send my way. So, here is what i've finsihed so far, A scissor case with the matching scissor fob. I've only manage to complete the pink one for now but if the winner prefer the green one, i'm sure it will be finish by then.

I ám a bit of a hurry for this post as i need to do more packing and some gifts to wrap so i haven't the time to go and search who the designer is of this freebie. I will look for it when we get back after Christmas.

Scissor case

The scissor case i made for the SFE for ILCS yahoo group had safely reached Mare. Actually my original plan was to stitched one of the cats of Brittercups design to go along with the last one i sent but i wasn't sure how to finish it off and i was running out of time. And then i realise you had stated two themes to chose from: cats or hearts. When i started stitching this pattern i realise i made it earlier and into a needlecase as well. So glad to hear you like it Mare and haven't this kind of finishing yet.


I started the third and last serie of Pure Indulgence. Atleast this one don't have that many frenchknots unlike the second one i did.


Thanks so much for stopping by, the lovely comments and the best wishes. I think i know the reason why i have this headache on and off especially last week. It just it's the first week that DH's away for work, and there's so much to do....
The children have to go to MIL's for lunch and dinner and wait for me there till i am done with work which is between 8 to 9pm. And tuesday after school Chris have football training and it's in town, glad there are a couple boys from here who are going so one of the parents will take Chris too.
Still a while before DH's comes home so we have to get use to it.

Hope everyone have a nice weekend. I will take Grace to the mainland after her swimming tomorrow to go shopping, Chris should be coming with us too but we just heard that they have a football match tomorrow and he doesn't want ot miss it. So he will be pick up before 9am.

2nd attempt.. scissor case & I'm Tagged!

Since the first one i made i wanted to try again with a not so thick fabric, i can't find an appropriate pattern to use but i hope this will do. It's a freebie i printed a while back and i don't know from where...I used DMC 815 on to 28ct cream linnen.

1 I love country music but don't get the chance to listen to it as the kids doesnt like it and change it to their own kind of music.

2 Sometimes before starting a book i'll sneak at the ending first.

3 I eat chips or green appels with vinegar.

4 Nearly half year now, i weigh every morning it becomes an obsession. I've lose 5 kilos and happy with it, i want or hope to keep it.

5 I am afraid of using the lift, if needed i'll wait till somebody get in. Glad we don't have it here on the island.

6 I cry easily. I won't watch drama film as i will be in tears till the ending. I'd rather read it so i can easily skip it or have a pause.

7 I cannot sew! Some can't believe it when they've seen some of my finishes.

Finished this heart freebie one night with WDW on to 28ct linnen. Seen a scissor case in one of the blogs lately, thought i will try it with this one. I do love it how it turned out, just a bit trouble with the fabric as the one i had used was quite a thick one.






I know the button i used is too big for this but i dont have much choices with what i have here and i can't wait to finished it off. I cannot easily go to town so be it with this.
