Computer is fixed!

My computer has had a very bad virus, DH tried to remove it last weekend when he came home, spent a few hours but he couldn't remove it. He has took it out this morning from my table...i thought here we go, it might really take a while before it gets back but when i got home this aftrenoon from helping at Chris school, my PC is back at my table. Thanks to DH i can get online again. I really did missed it! Also for uploading the pictures taken since Christmas. I can see now i haven't taken much pictures....

As for stitching, i do have a few finishes lately, small ones but can't show all as most were for gifts and exchanges. Also started a few projects but not much to show pictures off. Had spent sometime reorganizing some freebies too that i've printed last year and which ones that i will do stitch and some have to throw. Next (when dh is off which will be next month) will be some magazines, as i've subscribed to a couple of the U.K Cross stitch magazine for a few years now. I have only one now going, had to stopped the others much as i like them as i am not working anymore... not much income for hobbies.

Received a package from Anna and just opened the envelope to take a picture. Ohhhh...i can't resist..i really want to open them but i saw a note do not open till my birthday. Last night, it was confirmed that i and my kids are going to the mainland the 23rd to spend my b-day and x'mas at one of our friends. DH isn't home now till the 12th of January. I think, i will open these just before we leave our home. Thank you, thank you so much Anna!!

baby cards & received exchanges

Quick cards finishes made, the left one for Dh's niece who gave birth last Saturday and the other card for Eva(from CSE yahoo group), hope she receive it by now.

This is what i made for the HOE Christmas ornament exchange for Valerie . Just read that it got to her safely. Haven't taken a picture of the whole package but glad she likes it all. Valerie does have pictures on her blog though. This ornament is the recent freebie of Prairie Schooler Designs.

Received this magnet from Kim for the Small Finished Exchange at ILCS yahoo group.
A very cute magnet, thanks so much Kim.

Here's been pretty hectic, we were able to get away for a couple of days, just me and dh. We've booked a 'beauty arrangement', just here in noord holland an hour drive from the ferry. We thought we could go to Begium but thinking of driving that far and the weather wasn't that good lately we decided to just stay nearby. It was last monday and came home tuesday evening, quite relaxed. The massage was great and enjoyed the food without the constant chatter of the kids, which we had last weekend when we were out to dinner.

I wish all my friends in the U.S a HAPPY THANKSGIVING, may you all have a wonderful day with family and friends.

Tea Time pinkeep

Can't resist to show one of my finishes, as i mentioned yesterday i've been working on a few finishing. Wasn't able to work further today with it as the weather was sunny this afternoon so i've worked a bit more on the garden and then on the phone too. Chris friend Mels came here at midday not knowing he has to go to a birthday party. His father tried to call but get voice mail so he came over and he said our phone isn't working. And then Grace said she did called yesterday and also got the same response. I was in panicked as i don't have any idea how to work this out, having been used to Kees being around. Glad i was able to contact him just in time, as they are leaving for sea and then we can't call each for about 2 to 4 days.
It did take a while before finding the right phone numbers to call and also the connection to the helpdesk! In the end, before i got connected Kees call on my mobile to try another way, removing the plug for about ten seconds and then back. Oh yes, it did work afterward! Thanks God!!

This pinkeep is for the yahoo group SFE at ILCS. Actually i had hope i could find an appropriate fabric for the back when i went to town yesterday but they don't have such fabrics with cups. But i LOVE how this one turned out, do hope the one who will receive will like it too.

Barbara, your last comment made me smile!!! Me here thinks, whenever i came to visit yours you've been too busy and i do wonder how do you do it and would love to know how but never mention it. I do feel i am slow compare to some out there with there so many lovely finishes!

Scissor case

The scissor case i made for the SFE for ILCS yahoo group had safely reached Mare. Actually my original plan was to stitched one of the cats of Brittercups design to go along with the last one i sent but i wasn't sure how to finish it off and i was running out of time. And then i realise you had stated two themes to chose from: cats or hearts. When i started stitching this pattern i realise i made it earlier and into a needlecase as well. So glad to hear you like it Mare and haven't this kind of finishing yet.

I started the third and last serie of Pure Indulgence. Atleast this one don't have that many frenchknots unlike the second one i did.

Thanks so much for stopping by, the lovely comments and the best wishes. I think i know the reason why i have this headache on and off especially last week. It just it's the first week that DH's away for work, and there's so much to do....
The children have to go to MIL's for lunch and dinner and wait for me there till i am done with work which is between 8 to 9pm. And tuesday after school Chris have football training and it's in town, glad there are a couple boys from here who are going so one of the parents will take Chris too.
Still a while before DH's comes home so we have to get use to it.

Hope everyone have a nice weekend. I will take Grace to the mainland after her swimming tomorrow to go shopping, Chris should be coming with us too but we just heard that they have a football match tomorrow and he doesn't want ot miss it. So he will be pick up before 9am.

Busy days....

First off, i want to thanks Beth and Heather for the awards. This means a lot to me to know that you like and enjoy my blog to come and visit and also for leaving comments.

Last wednesday, we've been to one of the amusement park at the mainland, Speeltuin Linnaeushof. It was our first time to this park so we really don't know what to expect although we had an idea through their website. It was a good park for Chris and Mels age but for Grace and her friend Helene isn't much. It's not a big park so we let the girls on their own and we stayed with the boys. In all we had quite a fun day.

The last days, we've been to the beach though almost every evening we had something scheduled, so we have to come home around five while it was still warm thus the boys doesn't want to leave the beach. Yes, i said boys as Chris and Mels have been together everyday!

Thusrday evening, we've been to the cinema for the movie, Mama Mia. Actually a ladies out with Grace, her friend Helene and her mum and sister. It was funny and a good film.

Friday evening, we went out to dinner with friends and after that, been to their place for drinks.

Honestly, haven't done any stitching these last days, i am getting worried now for a couple of exchanges, as i haven't started them yet. Atleast their due date were around the end of August.

I've just read that Debra received the Mattress Pincushion i made for the Small Finished Exchange for the month of July. Her theme was flip flops and do hope she likes what i've made.

I hope everyone have a wonderful weekend. Thanks so much for visiting and all the lovely comments.

SFE for Sarah!!

Sarah's theme for the SFE(small finished exchange) at ILCS yahoo group was whimsical cows so here's what i've stitched and finished into a pinkeep. It's from Cross Stitcher magazine design by Lesley Teare. Now i noticed it's the same designer with the blue tit scissor fob from my last post. Just heard that she've received it and so glad to hear she likes it too.
Next theme for the SFE is Celtic design for the month of June. Still no clue which to stitch...????

I've been on my feet for more than 9 hours today at work, short of stuff and it's busy as it rained on and off. It's not only my back that's painful but it seems my whole body, glad didn't have to walk the dog tonight as i called earlier this evening to DH not to wait for me for taking the dog out as i am really tired!!So glad i am free till friday!

For the freebie exchange was already stitched only have to finish it off, hope to mail it by friday, i think that is the deadline too.

Thank you all for stopping by, really appreciate all your lovely comments.

SFE for Debra

Just read the message that Debra received the SFE i've made for her. Due date in sending this exchange is the month December but knowing how busy the postal with that month i thought to send it early. Her theme was July 4th, and this ABC sampler was a freebie from Celtic stitchery. I've completed it into a pinkeep and glad to hear Debra loves it.

SFE for Vickie!!

Tne ornament finally got to Vickie. It seems mail/packages takes so long to get to the U.S, this one took nearly two weeks and a few others took more than two weeks while i sent them priority. They will not allowed standard or surface packages here anymore. That's what i heard from the post office here on the island. They said most won't arrived if it's sent standard. It is quite expensive to send overseas now a days.

I see the link didn't work on the group so i thought to show it here. The picture wasn't that good either but can't get a resent one as i don't know where it is at the moment. I have to look for it next month when we put up the x'mas tree.
