Off to ASIA...& July giveaway!

We are off to Asia tomorrow for 4 weeks to visits family and friends. We'll be back the 5th of August. It's been pretty busy here the last days as it was really nice weather, either we are at the swimming pool or at the beach. Yesterday, the weather has cooled off and today quite some rain, so i am glad i don't need to water the plants. Whew! i really feel sooo tired as it's been a bit crazy today. In between packing, cleaning, friends and family stopped by. Better go to bed early as we have to get up at around 4:30AM.

For the July giveaway, haven't had time to make one but i don't like to skip it out so this will be an open one, a finish item of your choice...like pinkeep, flatfold, mattress pincushion, biscornu, a floss ring tag or a needleroll..., do need an idea of the theme preffer though. Everyone is welcome for the draw, but please indicate if you want to be added for the draw and if possible to leave your e-mail address so i know where to contact you. It will be open until August 7.

Happy Birthday Karan!. Hope you can have use of the decoupage patterns. I do miss making this kind of card making but just don't have much time anymore.

Just read that Shari received the package. So glad it has arrived safely. Hope you will have a wonderful birthday this week.

Hope you all are enjoying the summer! Here's a recent finish but can't find an appropriate fabric for the back so it is not really finish yet. This lovely freebie can be find here.

Thanks so much for stopping by and all the kind comments with my previous post. See you all in 4 weeks!

This was received today which was really quick as i sent it yesterday afternoon. It's a birthday exchange on one of the yahoo groups here. One is stitched card and another is any stitched one which is already finished, like coater, scissor fobs, etc. Some had given their themes, like this one. This was just started and i am really curious what everyone's had made for her.

This is for the CSE may block which is on the way to the U.S now. My April block didn't arrive on time so i had missed it. After two weeks, we thought it was lost but it did appeared but then it was late for the exchange already. Hope this one will arrive on time..

cards

I am not productive with stitching this week. It's a week school break for the children. The weather has been very good at last. And the outside swimming pool has been open the end of April so they've been there everyday, from tuesday till saturday. Both with their friends. And what a coincidence, Grace friend is the big sister of Chris friend. They've been together everyday, one night the girls slept here while the boys went to the other side and the next day, the boys came here and the girls to the other side. We are really glad they play/get together very well.

Here's some 3D cards though that i finally completed, atleast i am ahead with this cards for birthdays. I have still a lot more that i already cut, just have to buy some cards to work on to.

Non stitched cards & x'mas SAL

Non stitched birthday cards for this month are done. Only a couple of stitch cards to go...

Also finished a x'mas theme, well except the beads. This is from the JCS 2005. Until now, stitching one every month went well, i am not sure though if i can keep up with it. I am afraid when the weather warms up, we are more likely out with the kids, ohh and i have to work more, not to forget working on the garden.

It's sunny today, it's seems from the inside it is soooo warm outside but the wind is very cold. Hope to go for a walk though this afternoon, before going to a birthday of a friends daughter.

Small finishes!!!

Here's a quick update on my stitching this week. They are now ready for the post on monday. Still a few more things for exchanges but can't place the pic here yet. Not much progress as i wanted as it's very busy here. I am glad dh went alone to the birthday party tonight, now i am trying to organise the clutter of my hobbies especially the items for making cards. I am afraid i don't have much time this coming days for 3d's. If possible if i can get the chance i would like to try to make an ornament for myself. I am really envious whenever i see one completed those x'mas ornaments!!!

Sinterklaas came in today on the island. We are very lucky the harbour is very near where we live about five minutes with the bike. While we were waiting for the boat to come it started to rain and we didn't got any umbrella. Whew, it was coooooold. At that moment i think we are crazy standing there patiently waiting for him to arrive and as always he is late. They know the weather is bad and lots of kids are waiting still they don't try to come on time. We didn't stay long after he arrived as i can't feel my feet anymore...Later this afternoon, there's an special one organise for the children here in the village where the Sint and Zwarte Pieten can be with the children. It's organise from school, so every groups has to present a kind of show.

Such a nice weather today

It's past 2pm, just came back from MIL's place, and it is really nice weather compare to the last days which was wet and stormy. In a minute we are going to the small forest here for a long walks. The kids doesn't want it but i said perhaps this will be the last that it's sunny and no wind so we better take advantage of it. Here's the pics of what i finished lately.

WHEW! I'm tired...

Just came home from work half an hour ago, had heard all the events from dh for the day here while i am away, he has called up his mother to look after the youngest early this evening as he went to "condoleren"(sorry can't get the right explanation in English at the moment). Grace has chess club every monday but we noticed before that her brother has more interest with it than her and we asked the leader of the club if he can join too. He'll be six the beginning of December and tonight, dh heard Chris can start next monday. So, he's so excited!!
I would like to show a pic of the cards i had finished the beginning of last week. Two stitched one and a 3D's. I wasn't able to finished the one i had planned yesterday as we've been out for a visit.
Oh and added my progress of one of my recent WIP.

One rr done...

Yes, finally one rr is done and able to start a hardanger piece,
a small one though for a coaster and some 3d cards completed yesterday.

We've been to a niece b-day this morning, not so many people so we were able to catch up on so many things. I think most are going in the afternoon as it is saturday and ussually a lot sleep in. We did try but the children woke up quite early and knows we are going to their niece b-day so they are quite excited. Everyone has jobs here, so we don't see each other a lot.

January & February ornaments

The january ornament was a freebie years back at The Floss Box..it is not available anymore as a freebie but i think it can be ordered at he...
