Autumn exchange @ HOE!

Here's what i sent to my partner Brendon all the way to Australia. It's a freebie design just can't remember from who... Love the piece i received from Becky, Thank you so much, Becky!! Days go by so fast...First day of December, birthday of our son...his father and sister aren't home and one of his wish to go out to dinner at the only 'Wok restaurant' here on the island so i asked him to take a few of his friends so we went this evening. Such fun with these young guys! I was glad i can join them, thought they'd prefer to go without parent. Last saturday been off with friends to the city with the train. It should be around 3 hours travel to there but due to some storing with train connections, we had miss a couple so it took us an hour extra. It was quite an experience, was first for me to go that far with the train. Ussually we took the car if we go out of the island. Still preparing and trying some new recipes, not for the builders anymore but just for us here or friends who stop by for coffee or lunch. I do need to gather a list of recipes that i'd like to prepare again when needed. Most were found through the net so sometimes i cannot remember anymore the link where i've found the recipe. The Sampler Girl ornament!

Found this one stitched i think the beginning of this year so made it into an ornament. At first didn't know where i got the design but through searching at google had found out from JCS magazine 2012. Thus, went in search of the magazine and honestly quite lots of designs i've started or wanted to stitch from the magazine compare to the one this year. Do hope my mojo contineous.... Well, here are a few pictures of what i've made...baking/cooking! Not much lately as works nearly done except painting and the one who is assigned for it only comes during evenings. Probably a couple more evenings and he is done so we can start bringing up things upstairs. Hubby, hopefully will be home in two weeks then we can get everything or most of the things back for each room. Hope everyone's having a good start of the week.

Prairie Schooler ornament

This is from the latest issue of JCS 2014...i think the only design i like on this magazine. Kind of disappointed with this issue...i wonder what the others think about it. My thumb is fine now, only an ugly scar left but i am sure will disappear though will take a long time. The renovation is nearly to its end. Right now, one busy working on placing the heating for each room. Next week will be further with painting the walls, baseboards en doors. Then will be time for sorting out things to take back... Weather still good here compare to previous years which was usually strong winds and rainy but these past weeks still good weather for outdoors like biking or just for a walk. So quite some tourist coming over thus work still goes on which is good. Thanks all for the well wishes and for stopping by. Hope everyone's having a good week.

ABC exchange at HOE & a week pics of here..

Both were received last month but i haven't had much time to do an update here on my blog. Kind of crazy on and off...sometimes i thought gonna be a relaxing week even after works but wasn't been...ussually had work over and sometimes on to the next event after work!! Here is what i´ve stitched and sent to my partner. It was a freebie years back and tried to find who the designer was but can't. Hope someone can recognize and share who design this lovely piece. Here's what i received from my partner. A lovely PS design, one of my favorite and finish off into a pinkeep. A wedding card for an ex-colleagues who got married the other weekend...who's now on vacation somewhere in Spain in one of the islands! We've had a pleasant afternoon at the brewery with colleagues and the owner of the 'eatery' where i worked...It was booked few weeks earlier, thought weather wouldn't be that good..unfortunately it was sunny and really good for the terrace but we had to closed after lunch. From the brewery we went to one of the nearby beach for dinner. Was sure a lovely outing..though not all can make it to join us for the event. Last friday...I do feel blessed with my dear friends, had a long day at work..on my feet for about 11 hours at work and then driven straight to their place and foods was just ready...hmmm was all yummy and afterwards watch the first WK football game for the Dutch against Spain. Honestly, i am not that fun of football but since my friends does i had to watch too...Well, since the Dutch had been winning was quite fun to watch!! Took these pics during my walk with a friend early last week. Much as we want to go atleast once a week...both have quite a busy schedule...in a week hubby will be home thus instead of walking with a friend usually i ĺl go with hubby if he's home. Above were just pics from last week...the ones taken before that better not upload as it will be a very long one with just pics of events taken place here... Glory Bee designs

Just noticed how bad the picture but my Iphone isn't that good anymore, had fallen a few times but glad it still works but it is now the second time the frame's damaged...for Iphone's new frame cost 75,00 euro's, it will have to wait though for a new one... This design was from the JCS 2013, i still have a few line up from the magazine i would like to stitch and hope gonna made it all in time for Christmas. I am working on this one lately...it is one of Glendon Place designs from JCS 2013. At dinner early this evening, had fun with the teenagers at the table with their talk about school and their naughtiness. Quite happy they can express or share there experience in and out school! Last friday evening, came up at the dyke for an evening stroll and unexpectedly saw these scene...was kind of race that evening. Can't stop admiring these peonies that hubby bought for me last week... really gorgeous! Such a pity they didn't stayed long, only for a week!! Had been in and about socializing with friends or out with family these last weeks. Thank you all so much who visited and took the time to leave me a comment. I really appreciate it.

Lizzie Kate May & my blooming orchids!

To my surprise this May design was already stitched last year, found it on one of the maps unfinished items. I only had to make it into a pinkeep the other day and luckily have a lovely fabric for the back. Love how it turned out. Had started stitching the June design but not much for a picture... Here is my update with the freebie i started end of April...hopefully be finish soon. Just not sure how to finish it off...thinking into a flatfold or maybe frame it... Was cleaning up a couple of days ago and suddenly noticed my blooming orchids. Really lots of buds coming out. Oh...i so love them! Happy happy Mother's Day to all MOMS like me!!

CCN...snow Birds & a new start..

This piece was stitched just after i received the JCS mag last year but wasn't able to finish it off into an ornament till now. Love how it turn out though i am getting out of ideas how to finish off pieces these days. Seems like all into flat ornaments...

I was browsing through facebook this evening and saw Annie's recent finish, love it and since it's a freebie i went and printed off at once and went to find fabric and thread and as you can see started it right away... wonder how long it gets me to stitch the whole piece. Working lots these days due to Spring break and quite lovely weather so i only have a couple of days off each week lately. Hope to have enough energy after work to stitch coming days... Being busy at work we don't have much time for going out or socializing the last week. Only once last Saturday which i especially asked for an off day as it was at the mainland. Lizzie Kate, April..

Another small finish to share! I started these monthly series of Lizzie Kate the beginning of last year but as you can see, i ended up till March. So i am trying to continue and hope will able to complete it by the end of this year.
 These are a few of my Spring collections...i know i have more but just don't know where i hide a few boxes of stitching from previous years.
 

What a lovely compliment... Annie!  about my personal pictures associated with foods. I love cooking and trying new things as well as gathering with friends are always foods included. Either i or we do make it at home we do love to go out as well and we've heard a new Restaurant open in town earlier this month so off we went last friday evening...
 
 Been to a birthday at the mainland yesterday and whew...more foods and yummy's..
...to compensate all the food intake i do a kind of sports almost daily...from walking, jogging and Zumba. Honestly, i am having difficulty maintaining my weight compared to when i am in my 30's! Thus, really need to take small portions daily except during especial occasions.

Spring pinkeep!

Seems like i am posting once a month...days just flew by so quickly! This pinkeep is the only piece i completed for the month of March..shame..shame. It is for an exchange at HOE...do hope the reciever will like it. On impulse i took these pics during my walk earlier this evening. Such a privilege living nearby the sea! Always lovely to go out for a walk when the weather permits which we are really having right now...a very early SPRING. Compared from last year March has been on and off SNOW. This one was taken the first day of Spring, was such a sunny day though a bit windy and after that been cloudy for days but in all we've had quite a good weather for the month of March. Been out or meeting up with friends almost twice a week. Work started now for (seasonal work) us so i'm afraid wouldn't see each other as much as we want. Wish everyone a happy month of April!!
