A biscornu giveaway!

I've been browsing through the box with lots of started on projects as well as stitched but not completely like these two biscornu. Both were stitched around Spring last year and just put aside...Now, these were first of many that i completed this week and since they are two of the same design, thought will do a giveaway. I haven't been much following blogs for quite sometime now as well as groups so i don't know if 'biscornu' finishes still popular...I do still love this kind of finishes and would love a collection of them. Everyone's allowed to enter and please leave your e-mail address with your comments. Saw these tiny beauties during my morning walk yesterday. Haven't expected them this early as it has been quite bad weather recently, wet and too strong winds though it wasn't cold as previous years or snow. We have't had snow this year though we could still get it until the beginning of April. But temperature recently is quite high about 9 degrees celcius... Had an early morning stroll through the forest with a friend today since i don't have to start early at work. Feels wonderful! It sure a perfect place to go for a walk when itś windy and we could choose a path where no cars allowed as my friend have a dog. Thank you all so much for stopping by and leaving me comments on my last post. Very much appreciated.

Stitching mojo is getting back!!

A biscornu finish by Olenka's stitches designs. Love it! The second time i had this one stitched. First one, was for a giveaway last a couple of years ago.

Found a few of my Autumn collections, think i have more but couldn't find where i'd put them away during the renovation a couple of years ago.

Finally completed this CCN design. Not sure yet how to finish it off. Thought of framing it or maybe into a pillow.
I heard from a colleague about these books, but i had planned to buy them in dutch version but the shop we went too yesterday, they don't have it complete in Dutch but only in English, honestly i prefer to read books in English but it affects my dutch daily so that is why i do have to read books alternately. Today, my JCS 2012 came in....now what to do first, STITCH or READ???!

I hope everyone having a good week. Thank you all so much for your continued visits on my blog especially to those who takes the time to leave me a comment. I truly appreciate them all.

Tiny biscornu's!!

A small quick finishes. These two tiny biscornu scissor fobs for the Yahoo group monthly ornament prizes that i offered to provide for 2010. When i offered to do this for the group i thought to make different small finished pieces but until now were all tiny biscornu's. Haven't had much time to be more creative for other finishing techniques.

Just finished the march black today and now...i wonder if i do the April one next to it or under the January block. Does anyone have done these serie into one piece? I am curious for any picture of this serie if it is finished or stitched into one piece.

A few weeks ago i sent out a couple of boxes of some older crafts but mainly cross stitch magazines, i've only asked for the postage to be paid but if possible not in cash, just any crafting materials like threads or fabrics. Here's what came to my mailbox recently. Thanks so much Carine and Janina. I love them all!

I hope everyone is having a good week. Thanks so much for stopping by and all the kind comments. I realy appreciate them all.

Also completed a couple of biscornu scissor fobs for the monthly prizes at ILCS yahoo group.

These will be the choices for the month of April, was late with this one as well. I just hope the winner still would like to pick one.

Thank you all so much for visiting and all the lovely comments. I really appreciate them all. I know i am behind on blogs and groups, kind of busy here as we started packing though we still haven't decided who is going to do it as the third contractor haven't showed his prizes yet. He said end of next week but hubby is going away the middel of next week so we are on a difficult situation at the moment as we have to reserve a house for three months(sept. to Nov.) and container for all the stuff....ah, headache!

Hope everyone will have a wonderful weekend and HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all mothers out there!!!

"Be Mine" pincushion & abc WIP!

Back to freebies!!! When i've seen this one i had to stitch it, think it will go nicely with the Valentine freebie that was finished earlier. Isn't it lovely!
You can find the free chart here. Thanks so much Tanya for sharing this lovely chart. I've used one of the GAST thread but can't remember the name of it right now.

As it's the end of the month, time to share the first part of the Rose Alphabet i am doing with Tinna. The leaves took lots of time thought i am not going to make the first part for this month but glad it's done! For February, i'll move on to the lower left side, looks like it is not so much to do. I am kind of glad as hubby will be home third week of february. He's away for 5 weeks this time instead of 4 weeks.

On one of the yahoo groups(I Love Cross Stitching) i am in, we are doing an ornament SAL every month. At the end of each month a winner will be pick out and will receive a small prize from me. Something that is already completed like a scissor fob, floss ring tag....Here's a couple of biscornu scissor fobs i've just completed so the first winner this month can choose which one she would like. The dark pink one is a freebie from "The Floss Box" but the green one is also a freebie but just can't remember anymore where i've found it.

Your visit and nice comments are very much appreciated! Thank you so much!!!

Finishes to share and Thank you...

....all for the wonderful comments and get-well wishes. I really appreciate them all. The doctor prescribed a kind of pain reliever and i'm adviced to place a heated compress at the back of my neck. After a couple of days the pain is easing up a bit.
But not that quick as i had expected!
I am not happy with this as it is another busy weekend ahead. It is our turn the group of Chris to manage the canteen for the whole morning tomorrow during the football games. Glad it was not a heavy work as it's mostly serving coffee or other drinks.
In the afternoon, have to go to a birthday party and other errands that i wasn't able to do the last days. Like returning books to the library, i'm afraid they are late and have to look for birthday gifts. Sunday is to another birthday celebrant too.

Anyway, if the pain still contineous after a few days i can make an appointment for phyisical therapy.

Despite of the pain, i manage to finished a few ornaments. Glad i am able to catch up with the x'mas ornament SAL.

Tulips

I really had done something wrong or the kids as they had used this computer a few times as their own had a time limit for only an hour a day during weekdays. I am fed up stopping them when they are online so hubby set a time limit on both of their pc.
Can't really fine the documents where all the pictures from 2007-2009, i just hope dh can find a way when gets back.

Took some pictures of the tulips i had planted end last year. I didn't know these are quite tall ones but i do love the colors. My small garden is a bit messy but hope to add more plants later.

These were from last year too, thought they were dead during the winter but as you can see they are blooming nicely!

(You can click on all pictures to enlarge if you want)

Here's a picture of the items i received from Lynn. Aren't they lovely!
So neatly finished!

I finished three of these but one is missing here as it went to ,Natalija for the biscornu exchange. One of this will be send to Von when she'll send me her address.

A nice surprise came in today from 1-2-3 Stitch, really wondering when i was holding the envelope as i haven't order anything from there. I quickly opened it and found out Josephine(no blog) had placed the order for me as her way of thanks for receiving the b-day giveaway last year. This is really a cute design. Thanks so much Josephine. Hope you read this message as i can't find your e-mail address.

I do feel pain all over after running for two days but it does feels good so i think i will try to go atleast 3 times a week. So far the weather still good so there's no excuse not too.

Thank you all so much for stopping by. I really appreciate all the comments.

Everyone is welcome for the draw,
but please indicate if you want to be added for the draw and if possible to leave your e-mail address so i know where to contact you. It will be open until sunday, 12th April.

Thanks so much for this lovely design Olga!

It's been pretty hectic here lately, as we had celebrated DH's birthday last saturday. Lots of preparation for that and so glad it went well. Some family and lots of friends had dropped by. Really tiring but fun!!

We've been to Chris school this morning to watch their concert which they've been practising for a couple of months. As a part of the music education the children of group 5 participate to IMV-project (Initiatie Muzikale Vorming), introduction to musical instruments, which is organised by the music school. The children are trusted with several instruments which they take home to practise with.
Chris did very well with the guitar he had chosen and really very proud of it. He's the only one on his group without a music page as he've all learned or memorised the notes. For such a short period of time all the children did good with the instruments the've chosen as they had only an hour lesson once a week and most they have to practise it at home.

Now, Chris wants to get lessons for playing the guitar, so we will try to see if their will be one open soon for the young ones.

I haven't been online lately, so haven't visited blogs or groups but hope to catch up soon. Not much stitching done either and do miss it too.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and hope you all are having a good week.

Biscornu exchange, WIP, Sail...

Receive a note from Joan that she received the biscornu yesterday that i made for the exchange on SBEBB. This one is a freebie but can't remember where from. I do really hope Joan likes it. I did enjoyed stitching this with WDW Sky and finishing it with beads around. Well, that is one received from the

three packages i sent the same day exactly a week ago today. Still waiting from Norway and another from the U.S.

I've just received this wonderful exchange from Linda today! Great stitching and finishing Linda. I just LOVE it and all the extra's enclosed, especially as i can't buy these kind of fabrics and colored ring tags over here.

So far, here's my update on Winter SAL.

I haven't done much stitching since my last post last week. I see it's nearly a week already. It's just that before the weekend i had headaches for a few nights so i am not in the mood for stitching. Weekend came, we had Max for company and been to birthday party's too.

DH is away for work for a while now, so these previous evenings i had to picked up the kids at MIL's. It's really different being alone with the kids, as i am used to having him around though his working home but atleast he's home for the children.

Last saturday afternoon we took Max at the dyke for a walk at around 2PM, i didn't expect a lot of people are already around as i know the SAIL PARADE in Den Helder will start at 3pm to 5pm. Max was too curious at the people around and not everyone is happy to have a dog so very near so we decided to take back Max home right away and wait till the parade's over.

You can have a read and see some more pictures here about the Sail, Sail-spektakel in Den Helder (this one in Dutch)
The Tall Ships' Races 2008 (and this one in English)

Thanks so much everyone for stopping by and all the lovely comments about the fob. I really appreciate them all.
