Not much to show or share.....

..from here although a kind of busy but not from stitching rather from visiting or having catch up with friends over a cup of coffee and some paperworks that needed attention. Speaking of paperworks, honestly i am quite spoiled in that area as it's DH's works but now that he isn't home for most of the time i do have to follow or work it out myself and now do noticed that my Dutch isn't that great to handle it all.

And just this afternoon a friend called about the coming cervical vaccination for our daughters which will takes place on monday and that there are some talks going around about side effects and everything. Just called dh afterwards and relay about it as he doesn't know of this coming event , i didn't mention it to him when i received the invitation a couple of weeks ago as Grace said almost all in the class are going but now after searching on the net more about i am not sure anymore.
I wonder does anyone knows about it about this vaccination? I have to call back hubby soon to have more word about it and call a few friends tommorow to before the girls go for this vaccination on monday.

Anyway, we had quite fun last weekend at our friends place, also we were able to visit DH that saturday morning as they were in for supplies and it's about 20 minutes drive from our friends place so we dropped by him for a couple

of hours while our friends and her son to a football match. Took a few pictures of the vessel and Chris and his father. A couple of weeks more to go before he'll be home.

Here's the cute floss tag that i received back for the Floss Ring Tag exchange from the yahoo group: Borduurpaleis. Thanks so much, Lintine!

Many many thanks for stopping by and all the lovely comments over my last finished and the idea about the finishing. I think i am going to frame it as most suggested.
Hope you all are having a good weekend.

Mylene, Girls in the UK are to have this vaccine too bur i'm afraid i dont know too much about it, my yougest daughter will be 15 this April so has missed the first slot to be vaccinated but i am told by the doctor that there will be a couple of year that they will be catching up with her age group.I would be interestd to know about any side effects if you find out, i've not heard talk of anything.
Glad you had a good weekend, it was good that you could catch up with your husband even for a couple of hours.
Looking forward to seeing your home is where...framed up.

hi girls, about vaccine here the after fourteen years, puts the vaccine in public health, is free in madrid, only two cases have been adverse effect in the city of Valencia, apparently the vaccine has problems was one mark:GARDASIL, lot NH52670, The side effects these two girls were in convulsions and unconsciousness, but apparently one of the girls had previously encephalitis and the second girl had the flu when she put the vaccine they are the only two extreme cases. The common side reaction is nuisance in the vaccination area and slight fever, nothing more.
you can see this news in spanish here:http://www.elmundo.es/elmundosalud/2009/02/09/oncologia/1234184924.html
is for this reason that the sanity in spain recommended vaccinations when they are healthy, with no viral diseases such as encephalitis, influenza, mumps, flu, etc. (the same way that other vaccines do)

Hi Mylene. Nice to read about your activities.

Very cool little floss tag. Clearly these aren't limited to x-stitch.

Lovely floss tag, are the flowers crocheted?

For what its worth, I think the benefits of the vaccine outweigh the risks

Very cool pictures of father and son. It's great that you could go and see your husband, so the time until he returns won't be too long.
I have no idea about this vaccination, I just know that they advertise for it on TV here.
Nice little floss tag!

Chris looks like he was having a lot of fun on the boat. Your earlier finish of Home looked wonderful, am looking forward to seeing your framing of it. As to the vaccine. I've heard of it, but that's about all, so don't have any information to share.

I have read about the vaccination, and based on what I've read, I'm not sure I'd let Rowen be vaccinated (if she were old enough). I suggest you have a conversation with your huisarts and do some reading about it before you make a decision.

I sympathize with the paperwork woes. Though my Dutch is fine for pretty much everything, paperwork just makes my head spin!

Looks like Chris enjoyed his day with Dad on the boat. Lovely floss tag. :0)
Don't know enough about the vaccine to comment. Cancer is an evil disease though, whatever form it takes.

Hi Mylene
My daughter had the vaccination a few months ago. In the UK it given free to all 12 year olds. It is given in 3 separate doses. My daughter has had 2 so far and both times she had a fever 4-5 hours afterwards and felt very tired. Having recently lost my father to cancer I wanted my daughter to benefit from this vaccine being offered. I did feel that 12 was FAR TOO YOUNG but she was happy to have it along with her friends.

That's a pretty floss tag. Sorry can't help you on the Vaccine thing, it hasn't hit this part of the world yet:{

My eldest DD has had the first two parts of the vaccination and didn't have any side effects at all other than her arm hurting. The last part will be given in April. It was her decision to have it as she's 17 but we talked about it first. My youngest will be having hers sometime this year I think.

What a fun day! Good luck on your decision with the vaccination. I don't know much about it so I'm afraid I can't be much help.

Oh such hard decisions - my daughter is one year too old here in the UK for the initial vaccinations, and I'm quite pleased - at least there will be a big group who have been 'done' before any catch up programme over here.

My daughter had hers last year - she just made it under the upper age limit. She had to pay over $100 for it as it wasn't covered by insurance at that point and she felt it was worth it. The risk of cervical cancer is real and why not protect the girls from a dreaded disease. I'm sure the effects of having to go through cancer treatments far outweigh the few side effects that are being reported. Go for it!

By the way - I love your stitching! It's really pretty. I'll be stopping by again to follow your blog!
