small stitching update

Since we came back, that's more than two weeks now, i haven't been much in the mood for stitching and blogging, haven't catch up on everyone's blogs too. I miss back home, the place, my family and friends. It's the first time i really feel this way. Before, i am happy and content we had visited home and back to normal routines but now i am having difficulty getting back to my normal routines, probably because hubby is away too and still four weeks more to go before he'll be home again.

I kitted and took this one for the trip but haven't really worked on it so i've tried and stitched on it these last days. It's a pretty small design and can actually finish in a couple of days but it took me longer than that.
This is from the Cross Stitcher magazine, May 2008 and designed by Maria Diaz.

Atleast Max is here for company for more than a week now. I think he will be pick up this coming sunday evening.

Many many thanks to all who stopped by and especially to those who takes the time to leave me a comment. I really appreciate them all.

I wish you all a Happy Weekend!

HUGS to you my dear friend.... I know how hard it is to go away & come back home. We went to see the babies last weekend & oh my! Was it ever hard to come back home. I want to go back. I saw the card you sent them!!! Too sweet!!!! Thank you so much!!!
Your stitching looks great. The 'bug' will hit again---just give it time. Max is adorable, as always!

Mylene, I'm sending you hugs that your homesickness eases a bit. Maybe once you finish the piece you are working on. It will be a reminder of the good time you had on holiday.

Tell Max to cuddle and give you kisses until you smile.

Oh Mylene, you poor dear!! Being homesick, has a way of just taking the joy out of our lives. Hope you get better soon, and the time away from hubby, is short!

Love your project!

Vooral deze 4 weken even doorbijten
Wij denken in ieder geval allemaal aan je.
Mooi werkje heb je toch nog kunnen maken.

veel sterkte en liefs Annette

Sounds like you need a cure! Get
busy, girl and stitch! I'm sure that will do it...! Seriously, I wish you well and know that with your family and friends, all will
be right with the world soon.
Many blessings to you and your family...

Weeks fly, you'll see.

Lovely cushion! My mom used to stitch similar designs on our dresses and blouses when I was little. At least she did for a while.

I can truly understand how you feel. It is normal you can't get back in routine because of your hubby being away. Hope the 4 weeks will pass fast, so he will be back home again :)

Sorry you're having the feelings of homesickness and missing your family and friends. It would be much harder with your husband being gone. Glad Max is around to help keep you and the kids entertained. Your stitching looks wonderful. Hope you're feeling less lonely soon.

Having lived abroad many years I understand your feeling. The place where you live will never really YOUR place, the place where you were born ... that's a fact. (especially when the place you were born is so beautiful !!! ;-) ) I hope you can go back next year to your counrty for vacation ... Hugs!!

I love your cute WIP ;-)

I sure hope you've settled in and got back to you routines and that your missing back home is easying up abit!

Thanks for your comment on my blog :D I'm not that sick, my left ankle is just giving me a hard time - has been since Feb, but next week I hope to hear what the doc has to say on the MRI that was taken 2 weeks ago. My mind is bright and shiny :D So it's been wonderful to just sit and stitch - with "permission" ;)

Happy days to you and hugs!
