small stitching update

Since we came back, that's more than two weeks now, i haven't been much in the mood for stitching and blogging, haven't catch up on everyone's blogs too. I miss back home, the place, my family and friends. It's the first time i really feel this way. Before, i am happy and content we had visited home and back to normal routines but now i am having difficulty getting back to my normal routines, probably because hubby is away too and still four weeks more to go before he'll be home again.

I kitted and took this one for the trip but haven't really worked on it so i've tried and stitched on it these last days. It's a pretty small design and can actually finish in a couple of days but it took me longer than that.
This is from the Cross Stitcher magazine, May 2008 and designed by Maria Diaz.

Atleast Max is here for company for more than a week now. I think he will be pick up this coming sunday evening.

Many many thanks to all who stopped by and especially to those who takes the time to leave me a comment. I really appreciate them all.

I wish you all a Happy Weekend!

The first week...at the beach!

We had left the island thursday morning, 09 of July and arrived saturday morning(10 July) at our province, Ifugao. Quite a long travel, especially the drive from Manila to Ifugao took us about 12 hours because of traffic along the way and partly passing through the mountains. Was the same amount of time from Amsterdam to Singapore which was also 12 hours. Then singapore to Manila, 3 and a half hours.

After a couple of days at home in Ifugao we packed again and off to La Union for the beach. Three of my brothers with their family came with us, and mother with the daughter of my youngest brother. With two cars, we had travelled at night and took us six hours. We had booked in at Sea Park beach resort for 4 days. Two brothers with their family only stayed for one day as the children has to go to school and one of my sister-in-law, a nurse, has to work too. During our first day, my sister and her family came down from Baguio city, about 1 and a half hour drive, and joined us for a day. They can't stay longer too because of school and work. Oh well, here are a few pictures taken:

((you can click on all pictures to enlarge if you want))

Taken at around 7 o'clock in the morning, water temperature is really good for swimming!

My nephews and nieces are a bit afraid to go farther, just looking at Grace, Chris and hubby but later in the day, they weren't afraid anymore.
Here's me with my three sister-in-laws and the kids.

Now, i regret i haven't taken pictures with the whole family together, just snapshots here and there...

...except these one. The only brother who stayed behind with his wife and little girl. Was taken the next day when most of the company left for home.

i love these picture of my two nieces!!

After two days of lovely weather, typhoon "Isang" reached us so the third and fourth days spent inside as the winds too strong to go out.
This taken the third day infront of the restaurant of the park. A pity the picture is dark.

These our first week of our vacation, the last two weeks were spent with the family.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and hope you are all having a good week.

we're back a few days ago!

Four weeks went by too quickly, but atleast we had enjoyed our visit home, despite of the weather. It was really hot! Around 40 degrees celcius and most days thunderstorm late afternoon or early evening till midnight. With heavy downpours in the evening, expecting a cooler temperature the next day but it's not!!
Been busy here first few days when we arrived, family and friends stopped by and we've been at friends place for BBQ too.
Just an hour ago we came back from the beach, stayed only for an hour as the sun disappears and now looks like it will rain soon.
I'll post some pictures later but no stitching update as i haven't done any stitching at home in Asia. It was just too warm!

Hope everyone's having a good week.
