"My Little Heart" SAL & more updates on the house!

After dinner last night while both kids took turns on the computer i stitched on the december block. Finally this SAL is completed! Thanks so much Sylvia for your generosity in sharing this lovely design.

More pictures of the ongoing works at the house...((pictures can be click to enlarge))

Today, all workmen are free due to "Sinterklaas celebration" we decided to go to the city(Amsterdam) for some shopping but after half an hour driving after the ferry we decided to turn back as the roads weren't really safe, wasn't cleaned at all and we were driving very slowly. It will take us hours to arrive to the city and back.

I am feeling guilty here... although i bought a few boxes of Christmas cards a few weeks ago but haven't had the energy and time to write on and send them out. It is too late now to send out....i am so sorry NO cards this year!

As always, i really appreciate your visits on my blog and THANKS so much for taking the time to leave me a comment.
HAPPY WEEKEND TO AL!!!

Stitching is lovely as always! House renovations are coming along nicely.

Sorry you missed out on the celebrations due to the weather but it was very smart to turn back. I would hate to drive in that weather.

Have a wonderful week and don't stress the Christmast cards. I'm sure everyone understands the work that is involved in renovating and everything else you have going on.

Your SAL is so pretty Mylene! The work is progressing at your house too. I agree about the snow, unless it is life and death, don't risk going out.

Your SAL is looking so nice Mylene. I'm surprised that you can get things done with all the activity around your house. The snow looks so nice, but I can't believe that you're getting it. It seems early this year.

What a fun finish, Mylene--you did so well keeping up with it for the entire year. The whole piece is so bright and cheery...

That looks like a bag storm--glad to know you turned around and stayed home. We have about an inch of snow now which I love to see at this time of year.

Don't worry about the cards--everyone knows how busy you've been this year!

Your SAL is beautiful!!!! It sure looks like you are getting alot done on the renovation. Those roads look dangerous to be driving on. Don't blame you for turning around. As for the cards to worry about them. You already have so much going on.
Have a great day & thanks for sharing all the happenings with the house & your stitching.

Lovely finish, Mylene. I was planning to stitch this one but no time left. Today the weather is friendly than the last few days. We even have sunshines but what a mess on the road. So sorry you couldn't have a nice day out in Amsterdam. Your home is going to be nice.

Well done on finishing your SAL, it looks lovely.
The weather here in the UK has been terrible as well and we've been confined to the house for a few days.

It's done!! Congrats on your SAL :D Really pretty :)
Do you know what wou'll be making with your finish now? (Frame? pillow? something else?)

Don't feel bad! I'm sure everyone can understand how much work you have on your hands this year :)

Your SAL finish is really beautiful! I enjoyed watching it month after month and now it is so great to see it finished.

The works on the house seem to progress nicely, I hope the weather won't delay it very much.

And don't worry about the cards, there will be Christmas next year too :) (This is what I always say to myslef if I cannot finish something that was supposed to be a Christmas present for someone.)

Congratulations on finishing this wonderful SAL. The finished piece looks so serene and bright and summer-y, just the perfect thing to look at in the winter.
The streets just look the same here, but with high snow walls at each side. Yesterday it was more sliding than driving on them. Hopefully the renovation works aren't affected too much ba the snow.

Your Little Heart SAL is gorgeous! I have all the charts saved and hope to stitch it sometime.

Your house is coming along really well.

We've had the snow here and it's still not gone yet. The temps are staying below freezing so it's just like a sheet of glass out there now.

What a gorgeous SAL finish! I have done something similar to you with the Christmas Cards - left it until after my exam, then the snow fell and the whole of our area was paralysed for a week - now I'm too late for the overseas cards too :(
