This piece was stitched just after i received the JCS mag last year but wasn't able to finish it off into an ornament till now. Love how it turn out though i am getting out of ideas how to finish off pieces these days. Seems like all into flat ornaments...
I was browsing through facebook this evening and saw Annie's recent finish, love it and since it's a freebie i went and printed off at once and went to find fabric and thread and as you can see started it right away... wonder how long it gets me to stitch the whole piece. Working lots these days due to Spring break and quite lovely weather so i only have a couple of days off each week lately. Hope to have enough energy after work to stitch coming days...
Being busy at work we don't have much time for going out or socializing the last week. Only once last Saturday which i especially asked for an off day as it was at the mainland. Always fun to meet up with friends!!
Happy week to all! Thanks a lot for stopping by and the kind comments!!
Welcome!.... this is where i can share my hobbies, mainly stitching at the moment. And also just about anything....my family, my friends...

Our fun, relaxing Easter Sunday in Pictures...
...but first the HOE package i received from Michelle. Such a lovely lovely ornament she made and yummy goodies enclosed. The ornament was very neatly finished and such a great design. I really really LOVE it. Thank you so much Michelle!!
Easter Sunday started with me and friends to the church for the morning mass and afterwards since it was sunny we head out to the Tulip fields to take some pictures as sure in a week all will be gone. Such a pity that the flowers can't stay that long.
And then i went home and pick up the guys and went to the small forest for lunch, some some french fries and had a walk afterwards for more than an hour, had promised Chris for ice cream afterwards. We shouldn't have all those fatty foods as we are going to have 'gourmet' for dinner...oh well, it's a special day.
So instead of starting dinner at 5pm we had move it hour later.
It was a fun-filled Easter Sunday.
These are scenes from our walk this evening. Today started foggy but around 4pm the sun came out and no wind so it was such a lovely evening.
Probably the last gathering with friends for a while as everyone's busy now with work...see the huge Lobster...that was yummy. Not good for my cholesterol as i have high on that so have to keep off from now on...
Thank you all so much who visited and took the time to leave me a comment. I really appreciate it! Hope everyone have a good start of the week.

What a hectic week it was!!!
Absolutely no crafting for the last week...was been busy working, socializing and preparing...
Yesterday, was quite sunny and i had promised some friends to take them and have a look around for fields of Tulips or Daffodills here on the island...wasn't much compared to years before. I am sure in abundance somewhere on the mainland especially around Northern part of The Netherlands. Below picture was taken from the camera...looks much better... than the one from my Iphone.
This one was taken from my Iphone. I think it's because it is old as i've seen some taken from the boys phone(new ones) were looking much better.
Hubby should be the one standing here as it was for his birthday...saturday! But he's been busy going back and forth to the ferry picking up friends or chatting with friends. Was quite an organization for me to prepare everything for his birthday as i had been working too wed.-till friday so i only have the time for grocery and cooking in the evening...but i did and sure happy to hear all the lovely compliments after the meal. Kind of a challenge as well as i love cooking and wanted to see what i can...About 30 people joined us for the meal, didn't expected it myself..so glad the food was just enough otherwise there are quite some i've made for small bites too.
I've made tarts/cakes, small bites and the main meal.
Friday evening..Chris with his band had a competition with different students of the Music school they are in for their lessons. From the 22 groups that joined in they ended up as third. So proud Mum here...
Wednesday the 9th was hubby's birthday, it's during weekdays and he preferred to celebrate it with family and friends during the weekend so after work we head out for a meal just the two of us. Kind of a special restaurant and Chris being very choosy with food we've rather made what he wants at home. Grace away during weekdays at University.
Wish you all a happy week!!

Lizzie Kate, April..
Another small finish to share! I started these monthly series of Lizzie Kate the beginning of last year but as you can see, i ended up till March. So i am trying to continue and hope will able to complete it by the end of this year.
These are a few of my Spring collections...i know i have more but just don't know where i hide a few boxes of stitching from previous years.
What a lovely compliment... Annie! about my personal pictures associated with foods. I love cooking and trying new things as well as gathering with friends are always foods included. Either i or we do make it at home we do love to go out as well and we've heard a new Restaurant open in town earlier this month so off we went last friday evening...
Been to a birthday at the mainland yesterday and whew...more foods and yummy's..
...to compensate all the food intake i do a kind of sports almost daily...from walking, jogging and Zumba. Honestly, i am having difficulty maintaining my weight compared to when i am in my 30's! Thus, really need to take small portions daily except during especial occasions.

Spring pinkeep!
Seems like i am posting once a month...days just flew by so quickly!
This pinkeep is the only piece i completed for the month of March..shame..shame. It is for an exchange at HOE...do hope the reciever will like it.
On impulse i took these pics during my walk earlier this evening. Such a privilege living nearby the sea! Always lovely to go out for a walk when the weather permits which we are really having right now...a very early SPRING. Compared from last year March has been on and off SNOW.
This one was taken the first day of Spring, was such a sunny day though a bit windy and after that been cloudy for days but in all we've had quite a good weather for the month of March.
Been out or meeting up with friends almost twice a week. Work started now for (seasonal work) us so i'm afraid wouldn't see each other as much as we want.
Wish everyone a happy month of April!!
