LHN & The Sampler Girl finishes

Due to a sprained ankle, it is exactly a week from today... i am force to stay home and not to do much, more on resting my foot. The first few days i did more on reading magazines, stitching came to mind but i wasn't in the mood for it till yesterday. I went in search of folders tuck early last year for the renovation and came across quite some unfinished designs which i thought especially these two samplers that i had already completed them off but not at all. On the LHN it shows when i had started it ...year 2011. So i worked on them today, now they'll be added to the piled up items to be frame one day. A pic of my ankle taken a few days ago. Getting better but slowly...i will start work tomorrow so i hope i can manage it. A few pics taken lately...Since Grace is at University, and has work during weekends at the city...she seldoms come to the island. Hope everyone's having a good week. Many thanks to all who stopped by and all the lovely comments.

Completely healing a sprained ankle can take a long time! Be good to yourself, Mylene! I can see you've done some nice things while you're recovering.

It's good that Grace has a job while at university, but hard on you to not see her very often! I sure miss having my twins around and am looking forward to summer and having them home for a few weeks. :)

I know from experience that a sprain is more painful than a fracture, but both take a long time to heal. Your finishes look great!

Hope it's not too long before your ankle is better. At least you have been productive :-)

Take care x

Your ankle looks like it hurts! Don't push your recovery - get all the rest you need! I'm glad to see that you've picked up a needle again. You are such a talented stitcher and finisher.

Oh my, your ankle sure looks sore. Hope it feels better soon.

Love your "Home of a Needleworker". It's a pattern I have always admired.

A sprained ankl, ouch, sounds very painful and definitely is. It once happened to me while being on holidays and driving around. Thankfully it was the left ankle so that I could continue driving. But it toook a long time until the pain was over. So take it easy and don't walk too much.

Both your finishes are really great. I stitched the Jane Austen piece many years ago, too, and it was a fun stitch. But I haven't turned it into something yet.
