A very short preview of our stay in the Philippines

Thought i'd better try and post pictures and a short note about our visit/vacation in Asia before the weekend. IT will be a busy weekend with the activities of the children, swimming for Grace and football for Chris. And we will have visitors for dinner saturday too.
Oh, i said short as there's not much to share as we spent mostly chatting and visiting family and friends. Our main reason was for my parents to see and have time with Grace and Chris.

We went straight to my parents place at the farm, were we stayed for most of our stay in the Philippines. My youngest brother with his wife and daughter are living with my parents.
Here's a picture of Chris and grandpa feeding the chickens and Grace carrying Heleen, my brother's daughter. These was taken early in the morning which was usually cool as you can with baby's cap. But when the sun shows up it's and at midday, it's pretty warm, sometimes too much. I think about 35 degrees celcius!!

Heleen were baptized when we were there and we've invited some family and friends, sort of a reunion for us.

After a week, we travel to another place( 6 hours drive from our place), to the beach actually. We had booked to a hotel for a couple of days and luckily it wasn't that busy as it was midweek and no special holidays. So we have the beach to ourselves! It was just great! The water temperature is about 25 degrees. That was warm!! Grace took a short diving lesson and off she went with her father...for diving. Kees had really enjoyed and went four times before we left for home!!

Again, another baptism of one of my brothers but then on a different church.
These are our two youngest who got married last year!

Next update will be of Hongkong!!!

How wonderful that you were able to attend two family baptisms while you were there. That is very special.
It is great that the kids got to spend time with their grandparents and other relatives. They are at an age now that they will remember this vacation and the memories will be so special to them.
For you it must have been difficult saying goodbye to your parents. I remember well how it feels.
