Max is here....& February block is finish!

The owner went to visit one of his children on the mainland for a couple of days so he dropped Max here at midday yesterday. He's so excited and wouldn't sit down so i took him for a walk at the dyke, see how misty here. We cannot see anything at all, but i know Max enjoys his walks here. He misses it perhaps as they live in town so there's not much open areas for a walk. I know the owner take him to the beach if he has the time on weekends though.(you can click on all pictures to enlarge if you want).
I finished stitching the February serie and also done the hemstitching for both, so they are now ready to finish into a needleroll. I don't have fiber fill anymore so have to wait till i get some. I would like to ask a favour...if anyone can help me with DMC threads. I am nearly done with the PS design but i ran out of the green one so i will get that one here tomorrow, it cost 1.65 dollar a thread. I've read on one of the yahoo group this week that one(in the U.S) has bought some DMC which has cost .10cts at Hobby Lobby. Why oh why is soooooo expensive over here!!! If anyone willing to help me out, please send me a note: mboekel@yahoo.com hope we can arrange something for the payment.

The football game was cancelled yesterday so Chris was really unhappy. They haven't played this year at all because of the weather!!!
This afternoon i decided to take them to the cinema, there where only two films, either Alvin and the chipmunks or the Dolphins and Wales in 3D. Only one cinema here on the island so there's not much to choose. Chris wanted "Alvin..." and Grace prefer to stay home as she will go to a Valentine film on friday with her friends so just only me and Chris. It was Fun!
Well, better take Max for his last round although still 10:30pm as i am a bit afraid when it's too late.
Thank you all for visiting my blog especially to those who take the time to leave me a comment. I do appreciate them so much.

Have fun with Max. Good that you and Chris got to spend sometime together. Your needlerolls are beautiful. DMC right now is $.38 a skien, sometimes it goes one sale, but not right now-where I get it anyway.

Nice to have your houseguest back for a while. And those pieces will make lovely needlerolls.

If we weren't buried under 2 feet of snow and expecting more on Tuesday, I'd volunteer to get you some floss. It's .35 - .38 cents here with occasional sales, but not often anymore. That's much better than your price though. When we have a thaw and you still need a 'floss mom', I'll be happy to oblige!

Which DMC do you need? There is no LNS near me, but there is a little "this and that" shop that has DMC and I'd be happy to check if they have it and if they do, I'll send it along. Email with the color number, and I'll check tomorrow.

I am willing to help you for the DMC if the postage is not so expensive. It's 38 cents here. Hope you can get the cheaper price soon.

DMC is 0.37 here but I hear it may go on sale in the next month 4/$1 but that it goes really fast.

Max looks like a huge dog!

I love the February needle roll it looks like it was a quick and easy finish. I like those the best! Just like the other ladies here have mentioned DMC is .38 here. I am not sure if you have ordered any online but I always buy my DMC from the online store 123stitch.com they sell it for .44 each and they have never let me down before!

Email the color # you need, Mylene, as I may already have a spare that I can post out to you this week if you're only in need of a single skein.

Beautiful stitching. Max looks like he's having a great time! I get my DMC from Ebay and it works out at 29p per skein, probably not as cheap as in the US but if you're ever stuck let me know.

Your needlerolls look great. Where I'm at, floss is usually 38c/skein and a little less on sale.

If you're interested, I have my excess floss stash on my FS blog.

Glad you had fun at the cinema with Chris. I miss not being able to see the kids films now my DS is grown up.

The needlerolls are very nice. I can only get DMC at Michael's here at .49, sometimes they have a 20-25% off that is when I stock up. If I can help let me know.

Looking forward to seeing your new needlerolls finished.
It's really a pain with the price for stitching floss over here. I have to pay as much as you do in the Netherlands. I have already ordered from shops in the UK where it's somewhat cheaper than here.

Your needlerolls are so pretty, Mylene. Let me know what colors DMC you need and I'll check my spares to see if I can help you out. The person who bought the DMC for 10 cents each, got it from Wal-Mart when they cleared out all their DMC (no longer sell it). I order my DMC from 123 Stitch online. Have a great weekend.
