Prairie Schooler ornament & needlerolls!

Here's my February ornament SAL. Was stitched a while back only the finishing that just done. I would like to try this kind of finishing for this year but not all with beads around as i don't have enough beads anymore. Last year i've finished the SAL all into pinkeeps or flat ornaments.

Finally, the needlerolls were filled! I still have March, April and May to stitch.

Thank you all for your sweet comments and "get well" wishes, it means so much to me. I do feel a lot better now, really glad my runny nose is over. Only, i feel very upset...frustrated as hubby called after midnight that he can't come home today as expected. They left the harbour after he called me, they can't wait for daylight as there's an emergency on one of the platform they are supplying. So, probably by weekend or after the weekend when he can get home...that will be more than six weeks that he's away instead of four. We all miss him and also there are things that needed his attention(paperworks) and decisions pertaining with the children as i can't share them all through the phone. Oh well, we just have to be patient and wait!

I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!

Hi Mylene--I'm sos sorry your husband will be away even longer than expected. Hang in there and take things day by day. My husband used to travel a lot when my sons were young and I know it's not easy...

On the positive side, I love your PS ornament. I think the beaded edge is my favorite finish! And what lovely needlerolls :)

Mylene, what a great collection of needlerolls!, i love them!
Your PS ornament is cute too.

It can get a bit much sometimes when husbands have to work away, my DH comes home at weekends but sometimes comes home Saturday afternoon and leaves again on Sunday night! especially towards the end of a job when it's ready to be handed over. This week i had a list ready of things for him to do when he came back! So i can understand how you feel.

Hope you have a better week this week

Girl! I'm just amazed at all your gorgeous stitching! I'm totally a needleroll freak, and about died when I saw your lovely basket filled with them. VERY PRETTY!! And your mattress pincushion is so perfectly stitched and finished. I've wanted to try that finish, but have been afraid it wouldn't turn out. All of your stitching and finishing is just beautiful! Thank you for sharing with us. Off to read more of your blog! :)

Very simple earrings on a ring and a pendant to match. The pendant would have matched better -- but I ran out of thread on both shuttles. The loop for the chain is a lock chain with a bead at every lock stitch. It looks quite nice up close and personal. I couldn't get a better picture (because I'm not a photographer).
These are made of a multi-colored metallic Oren Bayan thread and over 350 mini-seed beads. The beads are so tiny I couldn't even get my size 16 crochet hook through them so I could put them on the joining picots. That's right -- there are naked picots right there in that picture.
