floss ring tag & other updates!

It's been over a week since my last update, been crazy-busy over here lately. Still haven't much improvement over the upcoming renovation, though we did start packing a bit. We had also booked a summer house for 2-3 months starting the end of August, we had too before it gets fully booked for the season. What a price each week but we need a place to stay. We just hope all papers and other stuff gets settled soon.

Not much stitching done the last weeks except this one that was completed the beginning of May.

Remember the wedding sampler i've finished last April and the girls stitching small pieces for the quilt which will be given for their teacher's wedding. The wedding is over so i can show a few pictures...One day last april when the teacher was out for a day, with the help of a few mothers the children got a piece of cloth to draw/write something on to be put into a quilt.

There should be four of these pieces where a stitched piece attached but it seems i haven't seen the other one to take picture of it.
The children did a wonderful job on each piece...here are a few pics.

The couple was really surprise to see her class when they got out of the city hall. They are a beautiful couple!

Here's the quilted piece.

A few a months ago, Chris move on to electric guitar with his lesson. We borrowed one from the school and now he does wants to continue so we bought a new one for him as they needed the one back for school.
Here's the new one just arrived a few days ago.

Will returned back the brown one on thursday when we go for his lesson.

Thank you all so much for visiting my blog and for all the kind comments. I really appreciate them all. I hope everyone is having a good week!!

I love the idea of the class making a quilt for their teacher's wedding gift! It turned out so beautifully and that was kind of you to help with it, Mylene... And what a pretty floss tag--I love it!

Cute photos of your son and his guitar--my three all play guitar, too, and it gets quite loud here at times!

I love your fob Mylene! That is such a wonderful idea with the wedding quilt. I'm sure that the teacher was thrilled to receive it. My son's second grade teacher did a project something like that - they each drew a picture of how they thought they looked and in the four corners drew things that they loved. The teacher put them together into a big quilt top. At the end of the year, the blocks were taken apart, and I sewed all the squares into pillows to give to the kids when they graduated. It made a wonderful remembrance of their 2nd grade year.

Hope all is going well with your plans for your renovations!

Such a sweet floss ring Mylene. It sure sounds like the renovations are going to last for a while. We are also starting renovations and it will take around three to four months to complete but it will be worth it in the end. Great idea with the quilt. The teacher must have been thrilled. Your son looks really happy with his new guitar.

The wedding quilt is so beautiful and such a lovely present. I love the idea very much, and the way it turned out. Was it on the 15th of May? I'm asking, because on that day we were at a wedding, too :) but I did not have the time to stitch something for the young couple :(
