Winnie The Pooh

The first picture i added earlier, that was stitched in two hours and now here's my progress after and hour and half today.

I felt really tired yesterday so i went to bed quite early, much as i would like to stitch and tried but my concentration fails me. This morning got up rather late so as the kids which i am really happy as they've been pretty early getting up with their friends lately while they went to sleep really late.
After breakfast, i took them for a walk at the dike here close to the house. It was very windy but dry and atleast it wasn't that cold. After 20 minutes we reach the small beach and stayed their for about half an hour. They've filled their pockets with different kinds of shells while i sit and waited. Now, i don't know what we gonna do with the shells. Chris washed them right away when we came home.
After lunch, did lots of ironing.........

It's quite chaotisch here!!!!!! It's holiday here yesterday so the children don't go to school as well as today so it's a long weekend. Both have their friend to stay for a couple of nights. The girls are no problem, but the boys are very actice. And the weather is not a help at all. Rainy all day, so they have to stay inside. I can say, haven't stitch for a couple of days now..............

Here's Chris after his visit to the barber shop end of last week. He went with his father so when they came home I was really surprised to see what they've done. Well, it looks great especially with all the colours and glitters but after washing it's different but he like it that way.

Here's my progress on my rr. Not much more to do so i will set this aside for this week as i need to start working on another rr piece for another group.

I started another project, a winnie the pooh chart which was ordered by one of our neighbours/friends for their second son. Did the Teletubby for the eldest a few years ago and now his brother is crazy of winnie the pooh

Both finished these one last week. The first one is for LK rr and used DMC as nobody did in overdyed threads. Since i need a x'mas pattern for my may ornament Sal i stitched this same one but then on evenweave and overdyed threads. But looking at it, there's not much difference.

Stitching Blogger's Question

Today's SBQ was suggested by Jenna and is:

Lately, it seems that many stitching bloggers have experienced a loss of their stitching mojo. Have you ever lost your stitching mojo? If so, how did you get it back and how long did it take?

Since i started stitching ten years ago, i do once in a while lost my interest in stitching especially when we are on vacation in Asia for ussually a month. Ussually, too warm to be able to concentrate stitching or too tired from all the activities going on. Or here on the island, specially on the summer time when it's too busy at work, so i felt too tired to pick up my stitching. But atleast not for a long period of time, like a week or a couple of weeks then i am back catching up again.

This was received today which was really quick as i sent it yesterday afternoon. It's a birthday exchange on one of the yahoo groups here. One is stitched card and another is any stitched one which is already finished, like coater, scissor fobs, etc. Some had given their themes, like this one. This was just started and i am really curious what everyone's had made for her.

This is for the CSE may block which is on the way to the U.S now. My April block didn't arrive on time so i had missed it. After two weeks, we thought it was lost but it did appeared but then it was late for the exchange already. Hope this one will arrive on time..

SBQ of the week : Leftovers

When you stitch from a kit and use the supplied floss do you have leftovers? If so, how much and what do you do with them? If not, do you usually have just enough or do you have to dig into your stash to finish?

I don't have much experience with kitted projects especially bigger ones than the cards enclosed from magazines. From those cards i had stitched, so far i usually have left overs. The left over floss i used for other small projects or other items.

This is my progress, for the my own rr piece i am doing for Renee's group.

It's been very busy here lately with all the different activities of the children, and also at work, so haven't had much time for posting.

cards

I am not productive with stitching this week. It's a week school break for the children. The weather has been very good at last. And the outside swimming pool has been open the end of April so they've been there everyday, from tuesday till saturday. Both with their friends. And what a coincidence, Grace friend is the big sister of Chris friend. They've been together everyday, one night the girls slept here while the boys went to the other side and the next day, the boys came here and the girls to the other side. We are really glad they play/get together very well.

Here's some 3D cards though that i finally completed, atleast i am ahead with this cards for birthdays. I have still a lot more that i already cut, just have to buy some cards to work on to.

SBQ - May 3, 2006

Do you or have you stitched with over-dyed threads? (Weeks Dye Works,The Gentle Art Sampler Threads, Six Strand Sweets, etc.) If so, what is your opinion concerning them? If not, why not?

Yes i have stitched with a few of the over-dyed threads before. It was fine, only doing each cross at a time is slower. I do like some of the colours, but not all so wouldn't use it that much and one more thing it is very expensive to buy it here.
I do love the Caron watercolours, wildflowers for hardanger, it's a pity they are truly expensive.

S is for SPRING!!!

I had love this one since i've seen it stitched but just havent had time to stitch it. Thought i am late anyway for spring but yesterday, still no signs of Spring and we just stayed home i had hunted where i place the chart, this one is quite a pretty quick one, just haven't make the cording though at once. Now, it is done and weather here today was, very windy, dark and rainy. It's spring break here and lots of tourist around but pity it was such bad weather today. Hopefully, expected weather the coming days were dry and temperature will go up. We'll see.
