A Lizzie Kate finish...

Stitched the design last month but haven't had the chance to make it into an ornament... on my birthday i was way too busy preparing for dinner, i just had lots of dishes i wanted to prepare that i got dizzy i don't know how and what so i went to my craft table and made the ornament while reorganizing my thoughts on what i really can prepare before the kids arrive. My plan on my birthday this year is to go away for  the night/day and not celebrate it at home but we got into lockdown that restaurants are all close too..and then kids wanted to come home so thus feel loved and happy to have them around💖
We had first a few starters...
Followed by some main dishes...
And had a few games afterwards.
I feel thankful and truly blessed that they all get along with the kids of my boyfriend.

Happy Holidays to all!

these cuties will be send out soon..

This came as an extra kit with the Okt. issue of The World of Cross Stitching, upon seeing them i know i will stitch it for my friends here on the island, one of the group of my friends..they don't do cross stitch but i know they will appreciate it as it's not the first time i gave them stitching goodies.
This cutie will give it to another friend with small kids. Love how it turned out..oh well, honestly i LOVE all that i finally completed into ornaments and a bit difficult to part with but i just can't have it all.
Last weekend has been busy cooking after work, I do love kids visiting so i do like to pamper them with foodies💖. Here is with my son, Chris.
The following day came the son of BF so more foodies ...on both occassion i opted for Asian dishes as i know they love it.
Many thanks for the lovely comments, really appreciate it. I had tried to search that comnents go to my mail inbox so i can answer you directly but i couldn't find out how. ..

Birthday month. ..

First is my son's 22nd birthday today! Sending best wishes your way my dear son. He is at university at the mainland and quite far to go drop in for a few moments.
Been gloomy days here, ...today rainy and wind was howling outside still we brave out and drove to another village here on the island to see if there's open restaurant for lunch. This village was ussually a very busy area for tourist during the summer time but in the winter lots of establishments are closed. Had found one opened and enjoyed a lovely lunch.
This morning i manage to make a few stitch designs into cards and dropped it to the post..i am quite late this year sending cards for outside Holland.
I just made a start on this Lizzie kate design this evening..I am nearly done with the two designs on this leaflet, the Let It Snow, acquires Wisper W88 for the ears but i don't have that thread, think i can use just white DMC thread i wonder..Well, my birthday is still a while..day before christmas, not sure yet what to do due to all the restrictions issued for three weeks from now  ...

Hope everyone have a good start of December.
Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving me comments. Do really appreciate them.

a Lizzie Kate finished & a few others

Been a while since i last posted...if it weren't busy working we're out and about..though i try to stitch and do some finishing.
This Lizzie Kate ornament stitched and finished it within two days just so i can give it to a friend where we visited and stayed last monday.
Stayed for a couple of days..and been out for walks in their neighbourhood. Luckily, we've had sunny autumn weather. Just beautiful to see all these fall colours everywhere.
Had a lovely catch up with news and everything. Back home this afternoon to a rainy island and expected gonna be cold and gloomy days ahead.

Here are some of the ornaments completed recently.
I am working on more christmas designs and hope to finish them within these two weeks so i can send to a few friends here locally. A few were already sent out to other countries, hope it get receive before Christmas.

An old project "Summer Meadow" & get-away pics..

A couple of weeks now since my last post..not much stitching done as been too tired after work most days and been busy socially as well in between works.
We got back after midday today from Germany, so i was able to continue on the backstitching on this floral cushion:
Last sunday we drove to Bingen am Rhine straight from home ..we left 9:30am to the Ferry and 10:30 on the mainland ..drove on and no stop, we reached Bingen 4pm glad no traffic along the way. Catch up with BF winemaker friends just as we arrived:
On the way to the next winemaker couldn't resist stopping by the vineyard:
Had another lovely catch up as few other friends joined us too:
The next day, was out and about in the neighbourhood:
Stopped by at friends:
And then to another town and walked up the hill to one of the Castle, we couldn't find our way with the car to the top so we opted out walking and what a climb and down too..good exercise though.
We were lucky as the weather has been sunny and warm. Returning back to holland yesterday, we had quite a few traffics along the way so it took us longer to read the border. We decided to stay the night in a Hotel and continued our travel after breakfast this morning. We've woke up to a dark and rainy morning but was only on that area as we nearer home was quite clear and the sun showed up when we reach the island.

A couple more ornaments

Small designs are easier to pick up to work on especially on busy days at work and other commitments. These are my recent finishes.
I am not looking forward to stitching using the gold effects thread, not my favorite but think i have too.
Started a couple of Autumn designs too.
Living so close together here on the island due to the pandemic we haven't visited each other for more than a year. Glad we are all vaccinated and are allowed to mingle. We've sure miss those dinner dates, chatting and laughter.
Had babysit one evening for this little cutie while his parent's out to dine🥰
Lots of restaurants are lacking of staff, many students getting back to school also where my children's working place this summer. I offered to help out when i can during my off days. Love the location of the restaurant, at the harbour. Last week was gloomy weather but still pretty busy.
My daughter just had her last working day last weekend after working 6days a week for these two months. She's back to school..her brother will follow middle of September.
It's the last day of August..days just passes by so quickly....

Christmas ornaments finishes

Been so busy here at work.. lots of tourist here now on the island as it's not yet open to go to other countries and lots rather not get out of the country but still wants to go out and about...here on the island they can go to the beach, for biking or walking.

Well, i can only stitch on small projects on and off as it is easily to pick up.
Manage to finish these ornaments recently..
Besides work, stitching.. love preparing meals too especially for my love ones..even if it was unexpected, decided the evening before that they are coming for lunch. I did manage in a couple of hours to prepare a few snack bites with tomato soup filled with meatballs and veggies.

The next day one of our neighbour came joined us for dinner..i've prepared different snack bites as starters followedd by Asian dishes for the main course. It was a fun evening and a good catch up.
This my first time to post through my phone so i hope it comes out fine. Hope to hear from anyone who stop by😊...

Homespun Elegance ornament

Another ornament finish..that was beginning of July and now nearly end of the month again. Days passes by so quickly..Kind of busy at work so working long days, not much energy left picking up stitching at the end of the day.

My flowers outside are looking beautiful but don't have much time to sit and enjoy as recently everytime i am off is the weather not that good, rainy and windy. Well, the rain does good for the flowers that is why they are looking great.
Noticed one of my blooming orchids. I have this one now for 3 years and when it blooms is pure joy, LOVE it! These are my collections in the kitchen. Have more in the living room and most are blooming too.
Last Saturday, after a long day at work still lovely weather so been to where my kids are working, summer jobs..for drinks but ended up having dinner too. I love that place cause of the view of the harbour and the sea.
Yesterday's pic, just done working and finally have a rest and cool off. Looking forward for a few days off. We are off to the mainland visiting family, hope the weather stays good.
Happy Monday!
Thanks to all who takes the time to leave me a comment. I really appreciate it.
