An old WIP, a new start ..& very proud

...parents here❤️. Our youngest Chris had got his Bachelor of Medical sciences last week. He is now doing internship for the coming years.

Honestly, since we live on an island where no university here..students have to go to the mainland and big cities for further studies... I do worry much but so glad he managed and aside of his studies doing part-time works too, working in the kitchen of restaurants. Both my children are very independent as his eldest sister has received her master last year and have a good job in one of the businesses in the city.

After the ceremony we went out to dinner.

This..I started last year and last worked on it April.. afterwards I haven't touch it till☺️

I managed to add another flower.

Started this Spring Sampler of Hands on design and just noticed i made a mistake, miscounted so i have to frog all the blue ones that is circled in red.

Had completed a few easter ornaments too and had posted yesterday and today..hope it will arrive on time especially to the U.S.

February ornament..

...finished just right on time. This is my very first into a round ornament. I am so glad it turned out well, though honestly it was quite difficult, it took me a while before it was done. 

Well, yesterday was my last working day after 7 and half years..was really with mixed feelings as I love my work and most of my coworkers..much as I don't like to have a farewell drinks still the Management arrange it after my work at 3pm..I was quite surprise myself as quite some came in to join from different section. I do feel loved..Aside from the Management I got some gifts too from Co workers.

Oh well..we are going away next week for a few days and then we'll see how it goes...

January ornament..

My first ornament for this year..stitched it just after arriving from the Philippines. Love the design, it is from the JCS magazine 2024.

Weather was been very cold recently here..and rainy. Last weekend I was off so despite of the cold winds I went out snowdrops spotting and oh so such beauties these tiny  flowers.

Apart from the snowdrops lots of crocuses appeared too in the woods and along the roads.

Second of February my kids came for a visit to the island..I had worked till 4pm but still glad to manage to prepare a meal for dinner. Love to prepare meals if my kids are joining us.🥰

Well...days passing by so quickly, a couple more days then February is over. Tomorrow is my last day of the Hotel/Restaurant I've worked for 7 years...wasn't my Intention to quite but due to a couple of incident happened with the New Management I thought best to get out....

Dec. ornament & I am home in the Philippines

The last ornament for this year..another Lizzie Kate design.

Actually my 12 monthly StitchAlong are all from Lizzie Kate designs.

I came home in the Philippines in time for my birthday and Christmas. Will be staying here until second week of January.

Was quite unexpected as I am here last October with my kids but then my sister with her kids are coming home from Canada, I wanted to join them here. Happy to celebrate my birthday last 24rth with lots of family and a few friends❤️

I think there will be no stitching till I get back to Holland.

For the two boys of one of my friends here..

Okt & Nov. ornaments..

Both Okt. & Nov. ornaments were Lizzie Kate designs, Tiny Tidings Vlll. Oktober ornament were stitch and made into ornament around the end of okt. 

The beginning of Oktober i and my kids went to the Philippines for 3 weeks. Had spent nearly two weeks with family and the last week been for a tour far away from the province i came from.

A few pics during our stay at home.

Really too  short stay but due to school and work we couldn't take a longer vacation.

Upon returning back here in Europe, busy back to work and other appoinments haven't had much time or the mode to update here.

Though i did stitched quite some small designs for christmas ornament to send to friends.

Sept. ornament...

...finished it just on time. Another Lizzie Kate design, a freebie from years back..year 2011. I've stitched it a couple of times before but then sent out as gifts..now i want one for my collection. 

Been a pretty busy month at work due to short of staff, had really been working much that is why almost nothing done with stitching.

First weekend of September, together with my kids we went to Bingen am Rhein in Germany for the "Winzerfest". 

Had such a lovely time and sure lucky the weather was great.

We were able to get out and about...such a beautiful place out there with all the vineyards around.

A day and a half was just too short to explore the area..well, we had all enjoyed and hope to go back next year.

I haven't prepared much foodies this month too...ussually, friends or our kids comes for a visit but everybody's busy...oh well, just want to share this,

got this Lobster from one of our fisherman friends and prepared it in court broth, yummy😊
